Thank you for this great video and the black (thick looking) carbon fiber. Wish they offered kits with contrasted color pieces, as contrast is good. As a result leaving out some pieces are good, as this allows contrast and a better look, depending on your taste and what colors your original dash looks like. You would think that the grains should all flow together, and this the pieces uniform on look, especially with carbon fiber. The mismatched pieces should be replaced under vendor/manufacturer warranty IMO. Thanks for your inspiration, mat take on my Elantra GT as the door trim around the window switches is breaking down and stick feeling. Will need to clean with isopropyl alcohol and maybe use the prep pen for adhesion. ALOHA.
Thanks for posting this video up. I was THIS close to purchasing this kit from Carid for my Dodge Charger. But after viewing your video, I'll go another route. That center consul piece, around the 4:10 mark, looks like it's following the steering wheel lines, and the upper dash part. But it's the cup holder, and gear shifter area pieces that are running in the wrong direction?!? Noticed some of the other pieces were running the same way also. It's because of these errors in quality control, and design, you have saved me the potential frustration of receiving the same errors with my kit purchases. For the $300+ costings of these kits, the lines not running the same way, all around, would drive me nuts. Thanks again, Dave
Hey man I've been thinking about picking one of these up but not sure of the build quality. Kind of on the fence. Has it held up good? Any other complaints besides that center console?
@@davewood4329 you're not paid to say that right? Lol it does look slick I'm on a black and grey theme and it would really compliment everything else, I'm afraid during the summer I would just shut the door and the pieces would flop off, you get a chance to test them in heat?
Jesse Kaiman no I’m not paid to say that at all. The 3M adhesive they use is VERY DIFFICULT to remove. This stuff will last the long haul in any climate. However, be aware that it is BEST to install it when the weather is warm outside - the material is easier to work with when it’s warm.
Musicorporation MC - yes I got the real carbon fiber and yes it looked amazing. I no longer have that Durango, unfortunately - I upgraded to a 2019 Durango R/T. But as soon as Remin releases the kit for that model year, I plan on getting the same kit.
What’s up boss, I’m thinking of ordering a carbon fiber full dash kit from carid for a 2016 mb cla250, but I was wondering how long it took for yours to come in. I’m located in Northern California
hey they have a real one? im trying to make sure the carbon fiber i put in my BMW x6 is fucking real. i found pieces separate but if i can buy it all at once and guaranteed REAL carbon fiber, im all for it... hope to hear back from you

I wish they made a cut out for the piece above the glove compartment.
Did u have the link
What did you use to clean the surface before and after applying the carbon fiber adhesive? Thank you!
Basic rubbing alcohol.

Honestly it doesn’t bother me at all but yeah some people are a little more picky, which is cool. Glad this video helped you make your decision...
Too bad that the patterns don't run the same way.

Jesse Kaiman it has held up WONDERFULLY. The material is thick/multilayered, and is laser cut for a very professional looking appearance.

@@davewood4329 yeah it seems everything is 3m but I've yet to commit to any of them. Gonna pull the trigger on this. Thanks for the info!
Jesse Kaiman Good luck to you!

They are all made-to-order so it’s about a 6 week wait.
Did you get the real carbon fiber kit that is an extra $50, or just the kit that looks carbon fiber??
Jamie Benavides I paid extra for the real carbon fiber kit.
