- Washington Spearfishing Quest With @WAFishQuest
I teamed up with fellow RUclipsr and like minded Blake from Washington Fish Quest for this spearfishing adventure to Neah Bay in Washington, USA. It was a jammed packed weekend with some amazing diving and epic sight seeing. We just so happened to be around for the Clallam Bay's 40th year festival which just added to the excitement. Oh, and we also dove "The Devils Punchbowl" in Crescent Lake which was absolutely amazing. I found some treasure, including a GoPro 9. Help me find the owner!

I enjoyed this episode as always. The schools of fish in the lake looked like salmon smolts to me, likely sockeye, possibly coho. I took my daughter on her first "treasure" dive yesterday at Cultus. She found an apple watch and we were able to find the owner within 15 minutes on facebook. She pocketed a $100 reward. We also found a toonie, 3 masks, 3 sets of goggles, and assorted garbage. Clay keeps that lake pretty clean, so the garbage was surprisingly minimal.
Oh man, sounds like you guys killed it! Good work. How did you find the owner? No password? I think that Lake is blocked off from other bodies of water so I'm not sure if they would be salmon.
@@PNWSamson I posted on a local Facebook board and it only took about 5 minutes for someone to refer me to a post by the owner. Could be Kokanee or some other land locked salmon stocked in the lake. I just know from years in the lakes that trout almost never school like that but salmon do. But hey, nobody knows everything and without a good close up I can't ID.
As always enjoy your content. Welcome to Washington.
Thanks man! I remember you commenting about my light and I meant to watch your video. Couldn't find that comment so never got the chance. I'll check it out!
@@PNWSamson your videos are what got me interested in starting Yakventures to showcase the beauty of Oregon's ocean offerings. Your the mark I'm striving for!
THE COLLAB WE NEEDED!!
Welcome to WA state PNW Samson🤙 Glad you linked up with Mr. WA fish quest himself!
Friends close, anemones closer🤣
Haha, dive on my anemones! (Tupac voice). Thanks man, you have a beautiful state. I'm happy I was able to explore it with such a legendary tour guide. It was a far drive but worth it!
Thank you Bo! Super appreciate it! The anemone of my anemone is my friend? Or something.
Thanks for the vid, as divers and spearos we are our own ambassadors.
Nicely done!
What was the water temp approx? Were you wearing 7mil ?
Thanks! And agreed. There are regulations and then there are best practices... The water was cold, I'm thinking 10-12°c. I used a 5mm but should have brought my 7mm. Around the San Juan and Gulf islands a 5mm does the trick in the summer but around the open ocean a 7mm is needed. Same with winter, 7mm all the way.
Nice to see the Washington coastline ocean and beaches, looks just like BC but that shouldn't be a surprise lol...That Wolf eel was scary, did you see the teeth on that bad boy! Glad you met up with Blake seems like a great guy. The lake footage was great too very clear.
Blake's awesome and that Lake was amazing. Wish it was a shorter drive! Wolf eel are crazy looking eh? Big teeth but they are super friendly. Not like a Morey eel haha
Awesome!
Getting close to my neck of the woods!
Thanks! Where abouts are you?
This is such a fantastic video, loaded full of adventure! Really like seeing our local pnw collaboration!
Thanks man! It was an awesome 3 days. Stoked we were finally able to get out.
Chris and Blake! My favourite RUclipsrs collaborating! Thank you Chris and Blake. I live vicariously through you. @Wshington fish Quest and @PNW Samson. Be safe!
Thanks man! It seems like Blake and I share a similar audience which is awesome. We're getting back out at the end of the month to Lopez Island. Super exciting for that one. I appreciate the comment!
Thank you so much Joe! You are always so kind. 🙏
I shirley would love to hear some underground hip hop mr. Samson.
Haha. That was a Leslie Neilson reference from the movie Airplane. Figured it was fitting with Blake's shirt. I'd love to play some underground hip hop but the majority isn't PG and I know a lot of my audience watches with their kids haha. Plus it's copyrighted and I don't want to get a strike on my account. I definitely would otherwise!
What an wonderful video thanks for sharing it with us..
My pleasure man!
Frank Drebin was a detective i thought!
Lol airplane shows were hilarious. I'm still finishing this video, but making loaves of bread too lol...man of many talents, except diving....but maybe one day you'll help me Chris hahaha ❤🍻🇨🇦
Lol "dont call me Shirley" straight from Drebins show
Ps...like # Wayne Gretzky haha
Haha yeah, Leslie Neilson was the man. Canadian legend. I'd dive with you for sure. We'll have to link up one day!
that lake was awesome!
Yeah man! I'm going to bring a line next time. Could probably drop a weight right off the bridge!
Excellent! 👍👍
Haha cheers! We need to get you out next time.
We talked about you a bit Mike! "I like Mike" was the sentiment.
Dude those were Pelicans in that shot at around 18.25 mark .. I have never seen those this far north ??
Yeah man, pretty cool. Their populations nearly went extinct back in the 70's but they are slowly rebounding. My mom was walking in Ladner the other day and she saw around 100 out on Roberts Bank at Brunswick Point.
That was awesome to see. The first two pnw RUclips fishing channels I checked out when I moved out to Vancouver Island 2.5 years ago. Watch everything the 2 of you do. Keep on keepin on.
Thanks dude! Apparently Blake and I have a pretty similar audience. Happy we finally got out!
Looks like Seku
You got it! That's where we were staying.
👍👍
Thanks! ✌️
That was great! What an honor to be on PNW Samson! Thank you so much for your kind teaching.
Team work man! You're a legend Blake. Thanks again!
Welcome to the sport Blake! It's always great to dive with beginners and share in and be reminded of, the beginner stoke. Still remember the first time I made bottom, it was nothing really, but it felt like landing on the moon and I'll never forget it.
@@103years Totally agree man!
@@103years thank you John! Super appreciate the kind words!
