After a long 2 and a half months of animating, we’ve finally completed Mewtwo X vs Y. I haven't animated a proper fight scene in over 2 years, so it took a bit to re-learn some of the techniques I used to do. It also meant that I needed to make it look as pretty as possible, which meant a lot of time adding tons of effects 🙂.

I forgot Mewtwo showed up in Journeys but this is most likely just The first movie and the genesect movie
The animations were far far far better than expected, like the moves and the motion physics were so accurate. No doubt that it's better than the fighting animations in the series where one blast, huge light and ones ko'd...love your animations
The choreography is gorgeus, sfx/voice act on point and Mimikyu broken. Just amazing work xD

Mewtwo Y is just spamming Psystrike, while X form is just melee and sometimes future sight
This animation is sick! Also, I like the voices for the Mewtwos, since I head canon X as male and Y as female, myself.
Same I like to think that it’s the Pokémon anime mewtwos having a showdown mewtwo x is the one from the first movie even though mega evolution didn’t exist back then but I’d like to think he’d be a mega mewtwo X and mewtwo y is from the genesect movie both having different voice actors one male and one female which why I head canon X as male and Y as a female

Thank you for watching! I use adobe animate but wanna swap off to tv paint eventually for more complex projects like this one. Currently don’t have any animation tutorials but I do want to make some eventually!

The ending describes me perfectly when my teammate is losing a pvp
The good news is at this point in the meta ( 8 months at this point) there's no overly broken pokemon anymore thank god
And now we're unfortunately back to the gross broken meta thanks to buffed infinite stun fire spin Delphox, rebuffed zacian, Mewtwo, and moraidon, timi needs to stop.

This is something else! I wasn't expecting such smooth animation. Seriously this is peak animation, smooth movements, wonderfully flowing coreography and effects, even voice acting! (I love the nod to the Mewtwos from The First Movie and The Genesect movie in voices.)
I love how basically everyone agrees that Mewtwo exclusively fights like they're from Dragon Ball Z, and you my friend certainly pulled it off

I left pokemon unite a long time ago when mew was the newest pokemon in the game. I remember the good ol times when absol or gengar were the dangerous pokemon to look out for since they're assassins.
