- Welcome to, without doubt, one of Europe's greatest all-mountain / enduro MTB trails. Found in the Bike Kingdom, Switzerland, the Dark Side of The Moon Trail and Alplisee Trail connect together to give an incredible 10km ride that descends over 1000 metres.
Join me as I take on one of the greatest mtb trails I have ever ridden. The trail has an incredible mix of flow and rock sections. Moreover, it has some of the greatest views I have ever seen. In this video I share my experience of one of Europe's greatest enduro MTB trails.

2 your drone footage and cuts are epic really takes you to the next level pal keep up the cracking work
Thanks so much mate. Kind words and really appreciated 🙏
Those super high alpine trails provide a such a raw unparraleled MTB experience! Reminds me of top of the world trail in whistler. Can’t believe there was only one other rider in the edit, really adds to the remote feeling - fantastic edit!
Cheers buddy. One of my all time favourite rides/edits. It felt like proper mountain biking 👌
Superb ! Agree - that is mountain biking. I need to ride that trail 😊
It is absolutely worth the trip. And believe it or not, that trail has a bigger brother in the next valley along! 🤩
Bike Kingdom is on my list now. Thanks for the heads up.
No problem. It was a pleasure to share this location!
Epic views, epic trails and one epic video, thanks for sharing, brilliant!
My pleasure Dan 😁

Awesome bro - next level edit 👊
Thanks buddy! Put a fair bit of time and thought into that one 😀
Looks like trail heaven. To me that is the perfect trail. Maybe one day.
Definitely. For me this is definitely trail heaven. I would travel back just to ride it again ❤️
The Switzerland videos are amazing, the alps are so good!
Cheers man. It was such a good trip!
That was class bruva 🚲👊👊
Thanks buddy 👌
I’m so glad you loved this trail as much as I do. Great video Jamie! BTW good spot at the end of Dark Side of the Moon. You can indeed turn that last corner into a big walk ride 😉
Cheers Darren. I just wish I'd pushed back up and ridden it now!
Brilliant video Jamie
Cheers Darren. It was a fun one to ride and edit!
Great video indeed Jamie! Rode it 2 years ago (still a bit bummed I couldnt make it and ride with you guys this summer), and it has still got to be one of the most spectacular trails I have ridden. Very fitting video! 🤩👍
Thanks Jay. Yeah, shame we didn't see you. How was BC?
WOW! What an awesome video. Looks incredible. Great riding and great footage. Thanks.
Thanks Rhett. This felt like the edit I've been wanting to make for years! So pleased you liked it 😀
Absolutely mega Jamie 😮 that looked like an absolute dream trail 😍 the drone footage was awesome and those views were amazing. Great video bud 👍
Thanks Neil! Hope you are all good bud 👍
Superb and inspirational video J, added to a list of must do destinations! Keep up the great work.
Thank you. Will do buddy 👍
Once again, a stunning edit Jamie. No idea how you made it down the steep sections with those views distracting you. A truly epic trail - thanks for showcasing!
Cheers Simon. Yeah, those views are mind blowing!
Fantastic. Had our Family Holiday in Switzerland this year, no bikes but I really, really wanted to go for a ride! Spoke to a few bike shops guys and it sounded like there was some incredible riding to be done.
What an amazing place to take the family. It's so beautiful. I'm thinking about taking the family there next summer. Not cheap though!
Wow!! Amazing!!😊
Cheers Susie! Glad you enjoyed the vid 🤩
@@streetpigeonmtb I always enjoy your vids! 😁
@susiehooper2798 cheers Susie. I love making them. And the positive comments always provide encouragement when I'm feeling too tired/too busy. Thank you 😊
Great video as always! I have my Bird Aeris AM on order which I’m really looking forward too - thinking it will suit majority of my riding more than the Aeris 9
That's so exciting! I can't wait to ride one. It will be such an awesome bike!
I’m on the look out for first ride reports, hopefully you can get one out soon! 😉
@Ry_Rides ha ha. You never know!
Amazing shots, stunning place 😍
Thanks James. Such a beautiful part of the world, and an amazing place to ride a bike 🙏
Great video, great ride anyway lol -
Thanks 👍
do u fly the drone yourself?
@BikerideinParadise I do, but it also has automated features. When I was on the bike it was just following me 👍
Great video. The drone footage was amazing. It was interesting that the GoPro footage was making the track seem steeper than what the drone was showing.
Yeah. It's amazing how different camera perspectives do different things. Unfortunately I don't think any camera will ever catch steepness and depth that well. Makes you wonder what places like Rampage and Hardline look like in real life 🤯
Great scenery and awesome drone shots. Any issues flying a drone in Europe? In NZ you need to get the land owners permission to fly it. Also I could not hear the drone in any of the video. Did you simply use audio from riding when the drone was not flying or is it quieter than a skydio? Keep up the good work.
Cheers Lance. The Mini 3 Pro is really quiet so it's almost impossible to hear. The downside is it isn't that powerful so it's not a do it all MTB solution.
Switzerland has very similar rules to the UK. I had to register and obtain a flyer ID from the Swiss Government. I then had to display the ID on the drone itself. Other than that, you just need to ensure you fly responsibly and within the letter of the law.
Overall, flying drones in Europe is pretty straightforward 👍
I did this a few days back, just relentless quality. Although the hikeabike section getting back to Lenzerheide was unexpected 😮
That's brilliant. I didn't know there was a hike a bike back to Lenzerheide? Did you not fancy the lift from Innerarosa over to Lenzerheide? What a trail though eh?!
Backdrop during the intro 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Something else eh?!
Hi, truly amazing place and video, you captured it well. Can I ask, what do you do with the drone controller when riding? And also which drone do you use?
Dan
Hi Dan. I have a Mini 3 Pro. Great wee drone for sure. The controller goes into a rear pocket on my backpack. It works really well. Saying that, Skydios beacon solution is better IMO.
@@streetpigeonmtb we have the same Drone... I bought a bar mount but it feels way to unstable for off road, so bought a shoulder strap type as well, so it hangs off my neck. Still not ideal I just didn't want the rc pressing any random buttons whilst in my bag.
