- This is the WORK IN PROGRESS villain song for my rewrite of Wish. If anyone has any ideas for how I can orchestrate the backing track, I’d love to hear it!

@@Luna-Tic-YTspeaking of making a fan version of Wish, I actually made up my own version that has a completely different story than the one we got currently,it has the same characters and kingdoms and world and such, but it’s more about Asha being born visually impaired and alongside with Valentino (who’s basically her eye seeing goat like how we got an eye seeing dog) and her seven friends help the son of Amaya and Magnifico claim the throne when Magnifico is stubborn and prideful to give up his throne and ultimately save the kingdom of Rosas,and Amaya helps out her son as well since Magnifico is an abusive husband and father,that’s my pitch
The part where she says “I have my mother’s wedding ring” is absolutely beautiful and gut wrenching
The scary part is: Did Asha steal the wedding ring, or did her mother allow her to use it.

I love how there's a sort of anti-fandom for this movie.
1:44 Asha offering to sell herself into servitude is SO twisted and perfect, considering how terrible we’ve seen Cinderella be treated. For a Disney anniversary movie, that would be a great homage that actually has narrative precedent and substance.
The original was so weak it made "How Bad Can I Be?" look like "Hellfire". This one has a mystical, dark quality to it that definitely reminds me of the classics while straight-up enhancing the story. Great job!

Definitely works for an evil power couple. Much meaner than “This is the Thanks I Get”, and actually develops them as villains with heinous qualities-not caring whether someone lives or dies, whether they be elderly or a child.

I love the song. This is the thanks I get? But it's more of a Hero song, whether than a villain song. Because he has done everything for everyone, and they didn't really appreciate him. I know that there were statutes and cookies, and his face was on everything, but maybe he wanted a real genuine thank you.
The amount of rewrites for the movie alone, tells you how hard Disney fumbled the ball on this one.
Yeah, if Wish was on par with the classics or even a movie as recent as Encanto there wouldn't be nearly this many videos of other ideas fans had for the movie since it would've been easier to enjoy it for what it is.

I'm so glad Amaya gets to shine in a villain song, these designs are great!
For the backing track. I would highly recommend on a traditional orchestral sound. That is why “Hellfire” sounds so convincing in addition to the lyrics. Rhythmic and textured strings and woodwind, the brass and percussion can be striking and accenting with a small amount of synths. I also listened to the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth soundtrack for inspiration. Have a listen to the “Chaos” opening. Having a Minor key in music usually associated with negative and neutral emotions.
Oh, absolutely, I completely agree-it KILLS me that I only have access to GarageBand sounds right now 😭 BUT I’m working on changing that. I really want to play with the brass-got some fun ideas.
@@PinkiemachineStudiosI highly recommend musescore if you’re into the sheet-music kind of scores. It’s incredibly time consuming to enter the lyrics, but it works great! (Much better than note flight.)

Can you imagine hearing this in the theaters?! I would’ve actually felt bad for Asha, her grandfather dying, I actually hate the Queen here now!
Seriously, every animator and writer need to collaborate and start a kickstarter to rewrite Wish. That would be so cool.
This really gives me old fairytale vibes. Like... someone with a sick family member turns to someone with power for help but get tricked or denied.
Oh my gosh, this is WAY better than “This Is The Thanks I Get?” You did a really great job with this, I’m up for the rewrite btw! Looking so good so far!
My wish version is that there's a family connection (between Asha's family and King Magnífico/Queen Amaya) but they don't know that they are related until the film events (although grandpa might known or at least knew at one point. Maybe dad too if he is important to the story details). Grandpa or dad walked out on the royal family and settled down in peasant lifestyle. Sakina herself might not even knew that she married royalty or that her daughter is one possible choice to the throne. In other words, she battle with long lost evil uncle and evil aunt. Maybe have the friends eventually help her take over the kingdom?
According to someone online the starboy's name was supposedly going to be Earendel. If you look up the name it means "the morning star" or "the dawn." I could see two different but interesting romantic relationships here. I feel that Earendel is the more carefree and confident one while Asha is shy but intelligent. However, when things goes wrong their roles kinda switch a bit. Earendel reveals to actually have a wise side underneath his cockiness and he kinda help Asha be more confident in herself. The two actually have something in common which is that both of them are family oriented but the different is that Asha also cares about her friends and community. Seeing this kinda help Earendel open up his heart more toward to total strangers.
As for Magnifico and Amaya, I do not wish for some kind of betrayal between them. They are both completely confident and comfortable about their relationship. They're the only ones who relies on each other so that show lot of trust in one another. They are kinda like Gomez/Morticia or Clyde/Bonnie. They will fight and they will die together.
It would be interesting to have a broken family only they don't know they are related but it's not the usual type of you would find such as Tangled or Lion King. Asha actually grow up with a happy childhood. She have fond memories of her dead dad, is doted by her mom and grandpa and have bunch of good friends. But despite having a bookish and shy personality when she find out that her kingdom is in danger, she find herself on a spiritual journey that will test her more than she knew about herself. As for why I think the family connection would be a interesting twist is that here Asha think she is simply fighting evil royals and then in the end she find out that she is actually related to them. Kinda would makes her conflicted on both what to do and how to handle this. Would makes it kinda like a test whether if she going to go ahead and willingly to destroyed them in order to protect others in the kingdom, her grandpa and mom or not.
The Wish fandom reminds me of the miraculous fandom. Fans using the concept to its full potential. I love this!

I love the detail that she offered her mothers wedding ring for it, imagine how heartbreaking it would be to give up such an important symbol of a loved one that passed away, that one line alone made me feel more emotions than the entirety of Wish. Amazing work!❤❤❤❤

i absolutely how good this works and also how mean it is by the villains but it also gives asha more of a motive and more risk and reward so it impacts the actual story soooo much more and actually gives weight to it ! again its both disheartening seeing how much Disney has shit the bed on this considering it was supposed to be the thing that Celebrated their centerury mark aniversery but at the same time it gives me soooo much hope seeing such talented people like yourself re writing the story and making it something actually worth watching and enjoying =D

Btw, this definitely sounds like the cumulation of all Disney animated movies that leads to this movie and their most evil, scary, powerful villain to date that makes us feel even more on the edge of our seats to see the hero defeating this villain. The beats really makes it sounds so sinister and evil. Of course, maybe it could improve with an orchestra (Including violin), maybe using old Spain or North African inspired tune, but hopefully, it keeps the sinister tone of this.

How to make magnifico a good villain: make him a actually bad person
How to make Asha good protagonist: make her cause actually make sense and at least show her flaws
This song: does both and is better than the entire movie

I admire those who dislike the movie but still express their discontent in artistic ways xD
I genuinely appreciate the lyrics of the song, even though the rhythm is quite simple. I believe with a little more refinement, it could be excellent! However, by portraying these two villains in such a simplistic manner, it limits the opportunity for narrative depth, particularly with Magnífico. He could have been more than just a straightforward bad guy, perhaps a character with complexities beyond the surface of "I'M BAD AND I DON'T WANT TO HELP A SICK OLD MAN".
Maybe it will be like one of the eliminated ideas and he will eat wishes?
I liked Amaya as a good guy but she is great in this position as well.
Now THIS is a villain song! Sorry not sorry as a chores is fun. I love when villain songs are really good and this one fit perfectly with that thought. Man, I wish I could sing the Queen's part. I am so looking forward to this project and you know this will make some grand fan animations/ art of its own. I wish you the best of luck and now we are all behind you and we also all know it takes a long time to make a great movie so don't feel rushed.

I think a cool addtion to the music would be more prominent violin/just straight up orchestra when the king/queen sing, and maybe flute playing while Alicia sings? It would show Magnifico and Amaya's pompousness as well as Alicia's innocence through the music, which is pretty awesome

I think a really good idea would be doing a reprise once they’re beaten or imprisoned. Then Asha asks if they have any last words before they’re taken away and start to sing an apology for everything they’ve done. Then after a long pause they both say “NOT!” And then sing about how they both don’t regret anything, that still have each other, how they’ll find a way to come back, and they’ll make her sorry. And then they’re taken away as they laugh to themselves
First: Wonderful job on the harmony!
Second: The original concept of an evil couple made me so excited and this song just sealed it for me. Going back to where villains were just pure evil rather than misunderstood or a plot twist is nice nostalgia lol

It would be so cool if this is the moment afterwards where Asha wishes on the star and then that’s how she meets Star Boy. Oml I can imagine it now her gut wrenching want song and then wishing on the star for her grandpa to be healed and then..there’s Star Boy

I like the song although I think you need to tweak the lyrics "sorry not sorry" I know it's supposed to emphasize their disingenuousness but it sounds too childish and actually disingenuous. Changing it to "sorry so sorry" makes it so on the surface it sounds like they care but clearly from their tone they do not.
