    Yay! Another great video, even though the stories of the disappearance of all those people gave me the creeps. Thanks again for sharing! Aren’t you glad you have all this documentation of your hikes? You have done so many things since then, it’s easy to start forgetting details. I hope someday you have kids and grandkids to inspire. You sure have inspired your followers!

      It is neat to have all this, even though I shot the video sometimes it's hard to believe I went through all that when I'm editing the video.

    Jack, no matter what nature throws at you, you always see the positives in the negatives and always seem to persevere. I never knew of the Bennington Triangle, thank you for documenting it! You will succeed in whatever you do my friend! I often wonder what hikes are in your future, completing the CYTC there must be little out there to challenge you.

    Thanks for another great video, Jack! That's actually pretty funny because with your winter hiking video, we got hit by the first snow this year in Europe😂 stay safe! Can't wait to watch next part❤

    Applause 👏👏👏 for eating a meal that actually looked like it could fuel your body 😂 So many hikers seem to subsist on candy bars. I guess you have to eat well in order to do something as extraordinary as what you accomplished 🎉

    Cheers to your strength of character and your willingness to tolerate nature’s tooth and claw. Thanks for sharing this part of your arduous hike. Very educational. The history of the phenomenon of the Bennington Triangle/Glastonberry Mountain Wilderness was very interesting. For whipping winds, snow, rain and bugs, I used Wynd Blocker glasses. Worked great hiking in Iceland, shoveling snow and hiking about near my home on the Northeast coast. Bravo to you and your successful hikes. Be well. Wishing you peace and good fortune. Happy Trails!

    I love the idea of doing the Appalachian trails, but I think the reality of getting up every day in the freezing cold and walking on blistered wet feet would kill that pretty quickly! This is incredibly impressive, well done.

      It's weird though once you're out there and HAVE to deal with all of that, you just do. It's almost impossible to get into that state of mind at home, so I think people would be surprised at how they could handle situations like this, just our state of consciousness while we're at home comfortable is different than the one you get out on trail, so it's hard to imagine when you're at home.

    Awesome video! Your videos help with that post-trail depression. Missing the AT for sure.

      Try and get out as much as you can and get the nutrition and exercise routine back in, winter's hard especially right after trail, but it'll pass!

    How do you avoid frostbite on your feet with them being wet and below freezing so much?

    • @QuadzillaHikes
      @QuadzillaHikes  11 месяцев назад

      Waterproof socks and mostly walking still keeps them warm enough

    I don't know how you walk all day in freezing weather with wet and cold feet.

      The body and mind really are very adaptable. None of it is all that bad, thinking about it is much worse than reality.

    You need to hike from key west fl to Newfoundland Canada the ECT not all who try will succeed
