Their music is great because of the synths in the background, and the great sound of the chugging guitar and the riffs. Reminds me of some of the really great Playstation-Era RPG soundtracks. :)

@dynamicspartan Eyy come to europe m8 ;) I heard them live many times and i have to say EPIC. Last time Tony had some problem with his throat and he couldnt sing properly but it was great when the people sang all of their songs together to help him out. (hand in hand) Still cryin....
@dynamicspartan Thank you! I agree. You can't even find this stuff on the radio anywhere and whenever you do find metal it's always of the 80s hair variety. And finding albums from some of the Scandinavian bands that don't sing in English -Viikate for example- is a completely impossible feat.

This was my first song I listened from Sonata Arctica, and to this day they remain one of my favorite bands.
This song is the perfect combination of speed, melody and lyric, and an awesome solo to boot. Definitely my fav song by them!

Sonata Arctica was my second Power Metal, the first being Blind Guardian, about 6 years ago now... good stuff
