You voted in the community tab, and it's official: Termagant is now their 'Pet,' psyker-controlled by the Rune Priest! 😄 If you have any name ideas for the Termadoggo do let me know.
Since he is controlled by the rune priest you could name him after the sons of the Fenris wolf from Norse mythology. Either Skoll (betrayer) or Sköll (loud bark/noise) depending on which old text you go by since it wasn’t that important for the old Norse people to spell it the same, or he could be named Hate (he who hates). Those are the Swedish names for them, the English names would be Sköll (which for some reason is interpreted as “betrayer” and not “loud bark…) and Hati :)
I love idea of Chapter/Blackshield Force with Marines of different origins. It actually remainds me of Disciples of Flames, Blackshield Force from Horus Heresy times made out of Istavan Drop Site Massacre survivors, Salamanders, Iron Hands and Raven Guard and some Loyalists from Traitor Legions. Again, love the idea, amazing video, keep going brother
Yea the idea really stuck in my head after listening to one of the Guilliman focused novels ( Might have been Dark Imperium) that different chapters were working together and using their chapter specific abilities to fight as one. I need to read into them, I remember something vague about that. Thanks mate!
I started a army years back where every marine was a "sole survivor" that banded in with other survivors from various chapters they come across on their travels eventually forming large numbers intent on bringing redemption for their fallen brothers. They scavenge what they can and repair as best they can. Mostly did it to kitbash random cool looking marines
Ohh nah mate it's an absolutely fair comment. Big reason behind it is also just opening a few more doors to go wild and not be restricted by the established Deathwatch lore.
Thats completely fair. Im gonna be honest and say that I posted this comment seconds before you mentioned in the video that they already sound and are just an alternate version of Deathwatch. Which made me laugh so hard ngl.
nah man, jump packs are Blood Ravens ;). "STRIKE FROM THE SKY, BROTHERS!!!" Cool concept though of primaris not fitting in with their "home" chapters :)
Yea I know of an instance where a chaos psyker did that to a tyranid, so I think it could work here. Given these tyranids are also on a space hulk and are disconnected from the hive mind.
Thank you! Honestly, I try to stay away from chapter masters and keep them on the back burner until I have a truly well-marinated idea for a wild kitbash.
Love the psychoactive tyranid goo base; something really interesting to make the models pop. These guys would probably look killer under a black light.
Cheers! Doing a normal base just felt like it wouldn't really have the effect I wanted. I'm glad it turned out decent even with the mishap. I actually have some florescent paints, and it's whacky how it makes some of the models look under UV.
While most of the things in this video does not seem like something I'd use for an army, seeing the Tyranid parts and weapons seems like an interesting touch for some Fallen Angels/Risen units. Using Tyranid parts to repair or replace some of their damaged equipment after either defeating a small batch of Tyranids or stumbling across a battlefield with Tyranid corpses.
Man I have had some serious issues with my editing program and it’s made me wanna stop uploading entirely then I see your videos and get inspired again to keep trying.
I use DaVinci Resolve, and it's an absolutely madness-inducing experience. It crashes, freezes, loses files, refuses to render, and so on. Thanks, mate, glad to hear that.
Yes the rune priests are proper sorcerers drawing their magical powers from a specific warp entity, in there case one tied to a world so likely similar to what was going on with those dark angels who would become the forsaken before the lion just had his legions home world exterminatused.
@@AnotherDayMiniatures I just meant that there were some form of warp entities tied to Caliban, they were called the watchers, I'm not sure how involved they were with the forsaken as a whole but they had some interactions with one of the two people who are most likely to turn out to have been Cipher.
I tried making them, I think I have about 4-6 failed short videos with them, but they just don't turn out well. I actually posted a picture of one in the community tab. Sadly my skill is lacking when it comes to the yellows more than other areas.

Im new to warhammer and this might be a dumb question. But lets say i did this is it "legal" to play these game pieces? Im just really curious and the "legal" and "illegal" game pieces is still confusing
That's a whole thing. For friendly local hobby stores, most people adhere to the 'rule of cool,' as long as they can easily identify what a unit is without spending half the game trying to figure it out. Official Games Workshop stores have issues with non-GW bits, but some allow them if most of the model is GW. Official GW tournaments don't allow them unless you can prove you sculpted them yourself. The best bet is to check with your local community that you play most often with and see how they feel about it.
Someone suggested that the psyker might be mind controlling him, since the tyranid is disconnected from the hive mind in the space hulk. So maybe he is 😄 ( Thank you! )
The black armor looks amazing! Bravo! I love the kitbashes too. A Deathwatch-like group of marines is super cool. I wonder if a chaos variant of a deathwatch would look cool too?
looks super rad. in regards to the spear tip falling off, switch to UV resin if you don't like waiting for superglue to set. JBWeld has some that is great.
It's Army Painter Speed Paint Grim Black + Liquitex Flow Improver. It's been my go to magic acrylic wash for almost all recent projects. Using a lot of flow improver basically removes the tint and makes it into a more classic wash.
I made a short a few days ago painting him up. Thought it would be cool to have a visual for what these space marines encounter on the space hulk. Tyranid Short > ruclips.net/user/shortssEHnb_yS34A?feature=shared
A lot of people actually mentioned that, we ended up having a vote in the community tab and most agree it's now their 'Pet'. With the psy...Rune Priest* controlling it. 😄
I indeed forgot to include it. Hope this can be of use. The Black Armor: Vallejo Dark Sea Blue, then adding a bit of white to it for the highlights. Afterwards using Speed Paint Grim Black + Liquitex Flow Imrpover as a wash/tint. Red: AK Deep Red, mixed with black for shadows. Spear: Pro Acryl Turquoise, plus dark warm grey for the first layer, and white for highlights. Gold: Green Stuff World Antique Gold pigment + Metal Color Gold. Base: Liquitex Acrylic Gouache Dioxazine Purple, and Pro Acryl Turquoise for the wet blend. Tyranid Carapse: Liquitex Acrylic Gouache Dioxazine Purple, AK Deep Red + White, and AK Orange Brown + White.
Hi man, this is the exact black armor color I was looking for. Trying to recreate it, however, I'm not sure if I have a proper one. Mine is model color Vallejo Dark Sea Blue 70.898. Is it the correct one or are you using Vallejo Model Air 71.087 Dark Sea Blue?
Glad you like it! It is indeed the Vallejo Dark Sea Blue 70.898 painted over a black primer. Then white with a tiny amount of it in there to keep the same hue.

@AnotherDayMiniatures all good, I have noticed that a lot of 3d print sellers don't write who made the files, so it can be hard to add them when reviewing their stuff. I loved your kitbash and look forward to seeing more of your videos.
okay I have to ask because I LOVE the way you did this black. Black prime, deep sea blue base, then concentrated white, followed by a black wash and a deep sea blue dry brush??
Almost spot on. I added a transitional layer between the deep sea blue and the final highlight. The concentrated white did contain some deep sea blue; it just appears very bright in comparison to the dark model. For the wash, I used almost a fully concentrated version of Speed Paint Grim Black, but I also included some Liquitex Flow Improver and used a wet brush to help avoid streak marks. The dry brush color was deep sea blue with a bit of white, which seemed to the eye like it would be brighter than what the armor eventually dried as. I also varnished the model between the dry brushing and the wash, as the wash tends to leave the model a bit glossy.
I'll look into adding some more zoomed in moments during the kitbashing, things may look a bit more blurry as a result unfortunately. Thank you, glad you enjoyed most of it.
