Sorry Tony, thought i was subscribed, but I've now rectified that , some ashp's have a paddle type flow sensor, which you can see just inside the inlet orifice, they can become dirty, partially blocked leaves etc, can be cleaned with squirt from hosepipe, definitely need a bypass fitted, even it's just fitted to ensure a differencial of 1,5-2deg between inlet and outlet to ensure ashp runs efficiently 👍

Hi Tony, A other great update on your pond and the fish that was originally in the fish tank. Also what is the make of pump and is it variable if its is can you please let me know how much it was only I am looking for a new pump mate. Steve

Stephen, I use PondExspert vari pumps, I have 1x 10,000 lth 1 x 20,000 lth and 2 x 30,000 lth😀
