- Hey everybody! I have several creations in the works. I made a video showcasing K-Ci and Jojo best vocals moments. Everyone in Jodeci is talented, but Cedric and Joel Hailey were some sangers hunny! K-Ci's soulful, raspy voice brings incredible energy to any stage he's on. Jojo's vocal control and range is absolutely brilliant. Their signature vocals has influenced that likes of Sisqo, Dru Hill, Tyrese, Ginuwine, Tank, and the list goes. The bad boys of R&b music never sounded so good. Much respect to the legendary band Jodeci...Cedric, Joel, Donald "Devante Swing" and Dalvin

I love both of their voices. I swear Jojo sounds like an angel. I love how their voices are so different but compliment the other.

In my opinion, K-Ci & JoJo's voices are respectively opposite, but powerful, which are perfectly complimented each other (especially their prime)
K-Ci - he has that David Ruffin / Bobby Womack influenced raspy, distinctive baritone-second tenor voice
JoJo - he had that Stevie Wonder / Sam Moore influenced smooth, silky falsetto-first tenor voice
A1 description… interestingly though David Ruffin can do both.

WHY are there comments about H-Town, Silk and Dru Hill on a Jodeci video? Put some RESPECT on they names and quit playing with the best group of all time. Who is still getting talked about and influencing these musicans today? Don't worry I'll wait... oh that's right JODECI, not no other groups. Don't get me wrong H-Town, Dru Hill and the others were indeed great groups but let's be real here Jodeci was IT, that had it ALL, the voices, the looks, the swagger, the music, man listen there will never be another Jodeci. It's a lie that Sisqo sounds like Kci!!!!!! Kci's voice is in a class of it's own. Prove me wrong on Kci n Jojo's "Am still waiting from their debut album as a duo (Devante Jojo break it down). Then he hit the highest notes on "Down for life and that's what sets him apart. Sisqo could never sound like that.

its not a lie...sisqo has a similar tone to k-ci....but k is just more soulful with his
highly favored they sound similar. Sisqó was definitely influenced and seems to have a similar vocal range and tone. K-Ci was a more gruff, at times raspy voice. To me, the sound like they could be family.
He copied off Kci. His whole crooning type style. Thats why sisqo blew up

K Ci is definitely at the top of my list of male vocalists! Second only to Prince, probably tied with Dino from H Town. He’s a soul singer! A bit dramatic and extra, but that’s what I love about it!

Oh indeed, bless you a million times for this! Jodeci, the greatest group of all time, Kci and Jojo greatest duo of all time. You can tell they were trained in the church, no doubt about it. They don't just sing words, they feel them. Thank you for this, shout out to Dalvin and Devante as well, if they never come out with another album, they have definitely still made their mark in music history.

You can when an artist is truly talented when you see them perform live. Kci and JoJo really feel what they're singing which allows the audience to connect with them and their music. Add that with the secret weapon (Devante's production and songwriting). Straight masterpiece 😍.

Nothing sound like Jodeci when that all sing together though - NOTHING! The way their voices blend around K-Ci's leads in harmony, really creates a unique sound that is theirs alone. Also, I've grown to appreciate Dalvin and Devante's vocals, they really played that back intentionally but have great voices. There were times live that I thought there were additional background singers with Jodeci. Whole time it was really Dalvin and Devante navigating the fill ins.
Thank you for this. Oh, how I miss 90's R&B. It's like the heart and soul was taken away from it and replaced with manufactured replicas.

check out their docugroove for the second album "diary of a mad band". u get to see just how gifted kci really is when they are in the studio laying tracks. boys 2 men were better vocalist and had a better pop catalog. but NO ONE had the steelo/swag of these brothers whose style along with mary, changed r&b forever
Jodeci had the bigger impact look how many rappers and singers are sampling their music and their style how they dressed and their musical style copied but can't be duplicated.

The onky thing that was missing was JoJo singing MY LADAAAAAY, WE'LL NEVER FALL APART... on Fore rr my lady. I pray his vocals comes back stronger than ever. He still sounded good though. I never got over the fact I went to their concert and they didn't show up. I am assuming somebody was to sick somewhere. they still one of my favorite singing groups or duo. I hope they do another nationwide tour and I will be there.
They just did a show in my hometown. After the show I shook JoJos hand and he wiped his hands on his pants like I was gross. I was just speechless. A total jerk!

I love jodeci, the whole group together.
Jodeci' vocals were unparalleled. These brotha's came up in the church, they were a duo of gospel artists before meeting and joining forces then crossing over. Being in a church choir is possibly the best vocal training their is, and these men were meant to sing. They can sing their asses off.
I get irritated when current singers try and sing their songs they cannot touch Jodeci.
It pisses me off that Jodeci's shows don't sell out. We have to do better at treasuring our artists that paved the way for us on and off the stage. No matter their history or discrepancies. Especially because they can still give a good show.
Thats why there are brothers they cut from the same cloth...I've never heard no two singers voice complement each other like theres..
