- You asked for it, and here it is! Cheeky Chocolate Shopkins cake. This is a 2D cake with a 3D feel. It is 100% buttercream and 100% delicious! I am going to show you how to make this cake start to finish and tell you what tool and equipment and recipes you will need.

Hi, your video is awesome and I am making this cake for my daughter, i was wondering a couple things. First how many batches of butter cream does this cake take and second does the buttercream need to be refrigerated? Since there is no milk in the recipe i wasn't sure.

Hi Robin! Thank you so much. The icing does not need to be refrigerated. You will need one batch of chocolate buttercream and a batch and a half of vanilla buttercream icing :)

That buttercream looks perfect!! I tried making it and it came out too soft and a little watery.. :(
I'm so sorry you had trouble with the recipe. Next time you try making it, only add a little water at a time until you get the right consistency. If you don't end up using the same amount that I did it's okay. Hope that helps :)
