MCR did play ghost of you but I had to be with my wife during that song, i now wish i had just recorded. First and foremost, these videos are for all the Saturday attendees that were not able to be there. I feel it's the least that I could have done.

I seen on another video they said they wanted to end it due to the lyrics but fans love the song so were sort of torn between it. I mean you can sort of see through the playing it over different venues she mocks the lyrics by singing them in exagerated comic voices and not singing the line once a whore and nothing more. They're playing it because fans enjoy hearing it because it is a good song while also recognising that it's about a mindset/values she no longer holds.

There actually was many times. There was a group of guys behind us starting up a circle a few times as well. Hayley even stopped the show to break up some shit.
This whole get together was simply for money, I feel bad those who spent a fortune. I’d rather see them local than go see a poo show. Most of the bands didn’t even try or sucked bad.

That is just how she performs this song live. The only thing that's new since the controversy is her covering her mouth on the "whore" verse. You have to find dirt-old live performances or an acoustic version to hear her perform it like the track. Other old songs get this style of singing live, as well. My guess is she's trying to make the performance more fun and energetic than pretty. While I really wish she'd sing it like the track, the performance is still fun to watch. But I get where you're coming from. I initially had a similar reaction some years back, but I've gotten used to it. Tbf, this seems like this was the last song of the set, so she was probably tired and winded, too.
