I got a homegym this year back in January 2022.The workouts have been incredible.I spent 13-14 years at a commercial gym.The level of strength has been insane in only 10-11 months.Ive now added almost 33lbs to what used to be my old seated military press PR for years.Almost at 320lbs on seated military press.Almost 350lbs on incline bench for a single.Using bands and reverse bands.3 plates like its nothing on barbell rows.Last week 4 and a half plates for 10 reps on chest supported machine rows.I've got a power rack that is 2000lbs rated.I've never tried one with the straps,mine has the pins.Chest supported row which i feel had made my lats thicker.Olympic Dumbbell handles,bands,landmine attachment,safety squat bar,ez curl bar,plate loaded Lat Pulldown(High and low pulley) and a UFC adjustable bench.The only 2 problems i have is i dont have the foam roller pads on my bench so when i do decline even at 3 plates i kind of slide down which is annoying and when i do either a lat pulldown,close grip pulldown or reverse grip pulldown i dont have the thing that holds the legs down. My gym is in our cellar.I'd say my room is wider but yours is taller.

Those "ghetto cables" are some of the best purchases I ever made. My basement ceiling is too low for a power rack so I instead bolted some 400lb capacity D-rings to several of the ceiling joists plus I have a support post nearby with soft-ties attached for anchoring cable pulleys and resistance bands. And yeah I learned a while back that it's worthwhile to have extra small plates around (10, 5, 2.5, micros) for flexibility and doing drop sets.

I’d just like to thank you, though indirectly you were the first person who believed I can bench 225 in a year. even I didn’t believe it until it happened. Your content gave me the basic principles of progressive overload and your novice program taught me correct exercise selection.
I’m now officially a second year lifter with no plans of stopping and I’ve been raised up right by you and the other natties on this platform. I know I’m far from the only one who was helped the same way by someone simply telling them what they can be capable of. We all have a lot more work to do and gains to make!
