The only thing that really irritates me is that they're doing show only Franny and Proto. Those were the ones I really wanted and will never be able to afford on the secondhand market. I do like the Rewinds and the Sodas, but both are kind of ridiculously priced, charging more for smaller figures doesn't seem right.
Never say never, you’d be surprised what some of these will be worth a year and even two years from now. I’m disappointed that those 3 are show only as well, however, there has to be incentives for people to travel to SDCC and to be able to get exclusive items at the booth
Totally agree on the Loungefly/ pop bundle front! For me personally, I’m more of a soda and Loungefly collector and I know a lot of people (including myself) felt like the pop/bag bundles were over priced and most of the time only wanted one or the other which why I feel it didn’t sell well

I’m disappointed that this year’s SDCC lineup does not feature an at-home version of Freddy/Franny/Proto. I’m all for limited pieces, but not being able to get the mascots this year is a huge opportunity missed. I couldn’t be the only person that would have spent $45 to add them to my collection. Funko is missing out on a lot of sales, I’d imagine.

Catching up late, but I am fully in the camp of a smaller catalogue is better in this case, limit pieces also a good move but I agree that they need to address the quality of some of those pieces unless thrawn is just sweating from a work out it makes no sense at all. And yes moving away from lines that aren’t proven is a smart move.

In terms of character/molds i felt they could have done better on character selection, some are great ie Sugar from OP, while others are questionable this year ie Shinobu. I do also wish we had 1 or 2 non Freddy sodas and they should all have chases. I said that GITD Darth Maul should have been a con pop as soon as they showed the vader. Ill be going after the Sugar, Gojo and the 2 Freddy Sodas and may grab The Wicked Witch for my aunt, since that mold is 🔥 and Shinobu, even though we didnt need another.
Even though I love Star Wars, I will not pick up any of the SDCC Star Wars pops. The new glow Darth Maul is amazing and I have of course put in a pre-order on that one. I thought they might would have the Maui 3L on this years SDCC, but hopefully it will drop soon. The only things I`m going for this year are the two Freddy sodas. I had to get the young Leía. I loved the little girl who played young Leía. Vader is my least favorite Star Wars character, but the new glow one of hm looks cool. Yeah I agree the Freddy sodas should had come with a chase. For me it would not be good since I don’t pull that many chases. So I could missed on getting any at all.🥴 I tried for the Flintstone Fred jumbo figure and was not selected either. Really like the compare video…definitely continue to do them. As for my feelings, there’s not as many items I want this year which my wallet is thankful for but I love the bitty pops, the 2 Freddy Sodas and the Snoopy with the Woodstock Beagle Scouts. Really looking forward to the box of fun with the different types of items this year

And you’re absolutely right when it comes to that one or two super hyped pops, none this year… It’s disappointing when we don’t get a new IP introduced as a con exclusive, probably one of Funko’s best moves to drive demand among collectors (ex. Danny Phantom)
I really don't like the EQL idea for the at hole box. They should be available to everyone so they can be a part of the hype. I buy from Funko Europe, and our boxss are going up for grabs at a later date to the USA market, which i also find weird.

I think last year’s SDCC was better. There needed to be more sodas this year, and more pops of characters that don’t have pops yet. The box of fun looks amazing this year, but definitely not a fan of the lottery system.

Yes , everyone loves super limited funko pops , you can't ever have because there to limited and impossible to get , too limited or expensive , can't wait NOT being able to get them .
For me easily the worst SDCC like ever . 2023 atleast had Fairly Oddparents , Insidious and some cool sodas . I dont collect anime and Star Wars stuff so im not easily satisfied lol

I will admit this year is a bit boring. The Fanny is kind of cute, I like the big Hero 6, that's about it. I won't be buying anything.
