I agree. The team is “over performing” given their talent level. But because of stroud and Ryan’s I totally think it’s sustainable as long as they make good adjustments
There's a reason why alot of teams were scrambling to hire him when he was still on the market. I can't believe we're talking about the Houston Texans running the AFC South for decades---btw invest all you can on a great O-line, great WR, great TE--thats the Andy Reid method. don't have your star QB scrambling every play.
Something you didn’t mention in the video was that Houston has Clevelands first round pick this draft.

They will win one if he continues like this. If he keep breaking records he will. History has shown that QBs that has broken multiple records during their tenure has won a Super Bowl. Malhomes, Peyton manning, drew brees, Eli manning, Tom Brady, and Big Ben all did it.

This is like third time I’ve heard someone say Houston doesn’t have a round 1 pick next year. They do. They traded their pick for Will but they still have Cleveland’s 1 from the Watson trade.

One thing to notice is the “weapons” he has. A good QB needs good players around him. A great QB makes the player around him good. He doesn’t need a WR1 but give him one and he’ll win a Super Bowl. This team could look like the chiefs next year
Very good point. Collins, Brown, or Dell aren’t true number one options yet. But if they can add a number one or one of their weapons becomes a number one. They’ll be even scarier

What if I told you that the 3-13-1 Texans were actually not a bad team. Look at how close a lot of their losses were last season. They only got blown out a couple times I believe. They took the Chiefs to OT ( the team that won the Super Bowl… no big deal) with guys like Mills at QB and Lovie as a HC. I said it before the draft this year. The 2022 Texans team was a few key pieces away from being a serious threat, and it’s starting to show.
I agree! That being said though this Texans team was notoriously bad between the Deshaun Watson era to the CJ Stroud era. But now with a new regime and some genuinely good players this team has taken that next step👏

Nobody wants to play the Texans in the playoffs because CJ has Sonic ice in his veins under pressure. If we get into the dance, THAT is when you're going to see CJ balling out. And we have four more years after this of inexpensive CJ, WAJ and Tank. We can spend in FA and get a chip in realistic terms.
As long as the texans keep working hard like this, i really dont see how they can't win a championship in the near future.

A couple new pieces. But not like this team came in here and replaced all 22 starters. They added a new TE and the drafted players to start for their team. Defensively they added some pieces but again only a couple. So yes this a roster with some new pieces but it’s for the most part the same players
@@MetroSportsYT bro the entire team is different it’s only 4 players from last year on offense, every one else is new including back ups, and 7 new starters on defense. All other back ups are. New, that’s why most people said they would be sorry cause nobody was following them.
@@MetroSportsYT they signed 14 new free agents, all rookies they drafted are playing except Scruggs and hill Scruggs is hurt and hill is on practice squad. So basically DP, Nico, Stingley, Nelson, Harris, Collins , tunsil, Howard are the only remaining players from last season

I’m not a Texans fan but I feel like this franchise has never once said they were legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Maybe I’m just not hearing that demographic much. But I think this team will probably slip into the playoffs. Probably lose first or second round. Then within the next 2-3 season while stroud is under rookie contract I think this team has a legit shot at a championship if this team makes the correct moves

This is the exact situation every NFL analyst and commentator talks about. To have a great QB on a rookie deal is the easiest window to win a SB. Why would we think it's not gunna be any time soon when this is the exact situation every team wants to be in?
