1985 Wynns Safari Rally Subaru Alcyone (Vortex)

In 1985 Subaru sent their new 'sports specialty' to do some rallying in Australia to help sell the car. Unfortunately what I presume was the jump depicted in the video ended with a cracked radiator, unable to make it to the next service stop the car was retired. DNF. Yoshiro Takaoka (Co Driver: B.), who was an employee of Fuji Heavy Industries and the director and ace driver of S.M.S.G (Subaru Motor Sports Group) participated. It was a harsh marathon rally with a total mileage of 5,690 km across the Australian continent.
Subaru would have better luck with the RX Leone.
