The horn strobes were mounted on the ceilings and I was sitting right underneath it when it went off. OMG that thing scarred the daylights out of me!
You know. The first fire drill also happened to me yesterday. Before it started, Someone in my class thought it was a evacuation. And then it went off. When I got outside 2 people didn’t make it on time, and even 1 person got scared of it.

I hate to sound too harsh, but I think whoever is setting off false alarms should be disciplined. It risks desensitizing people to an actual emergency, much like the boy who cried wolf. And it’s also wasting the fire department’s time. How would it make you feel if you found out your close friend or family member was hurt or killed, because they had to respond to a hoax call? I feel like if your high school had two false alarms a week, that sends a message that you can tolerate that type of behavior. I think it’s crazy honestly.

One of the fire alarms sounds like the one from the first apartment I lived in. They first sounded like the cricket weapon Will Smith used in Men In Black, and then I go, "Oh shit, that's the alarm! Get the fuck out!"
I did this in Middle School a few times due to the stress of knowing how loud it would be! They only last a handful of minutes and the rest of the day is normal! You can survive this!
Did you all have to wear masks once you got outside? I know a lot of schools have indoor mandates, but how about outside? Also, how many fire drills do you all have to do? We only have to do four where I live.
Why do they have horn strobes in the rooms? That would cause me to have an anxiety attack everyday. Horn strobes belong in the hallway. Strobes can be in classrooms. Otherwise it's too loud and too much.
My Jr High School too because they wouldn't announce it and it would go off any time and my school has a Specralert Advance in ALMOST EVERYROOM (this includes the gym)
