The Tarr Steps, Exmoor

- Sylvie and I visited the Ancient Prehistoric 'Tarr Steps', located near Liscombe, on Exmoor. The steps are one of the best preserved examples of an ancient 'clapper bridge' in the UK. Crossing the River Barle, in Somerset, it is also a very popular tourist attraction. I had to film this over two separate days as when we arrived on a Sunday it was heaving with tourists who had come to a music festival which was being held in the field nearby. On that occasion Sylvie and I just did the 2 mile walk along the river. We returned the following day to a much quieter scene and I was able to film the bridge with little disturbance.

Thank you David 💐
beautiful place!
I live in london, you never see such beauty like this, so peaceful and beautiful.
a trick: watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies lately.
@James Brycen Definitely, have been using flixzone} for months myself :)
Another winner, David! With the scenic woods and streams, I think that this video comes close to your "Autumn in an English Forest", which is my favorite of the videos that you've posted. Best to you and Sylvia!
Thank you, William.
Thank you David another cracking video. When that old tree trunk finally rots into the ground some luck detectorist may find a coin hoard.
ATB to you both.
Ha ha.., it's a pity they didn't do that back in Roman, or Medieval, times.
Wowwwwwww the starting scenes of vast open green field areas, so romantic. And cool calm walk alongside the river by Sylvie. So peaceful forest. That big dead tree skin so similar to the skin of a crocodile, it's amazing. Almost 49 miles away from Liscombe, towards north in Somerset county, there is a beautiful village named East Brent, where the famous cricketer Ben Stokes was married to Clare Ratcliffe in St Mary's Church on 14 October 2017.
I love hearing interesting bits of information like that. I live close to a small village where George Orwell lived in a small cottage from 1936 to 1940. He wrote Animal Farm while he lived there and it's based on the farm in the village.
@@arcadia449 So nice to hear about it, I think it is Wallington.
@@davidmorgan984 Yes that's right. It's only a few minutes from where I live.
