Unveiling Bevis and the wrecked summer retreat

In Silver Well Wood beside the River Yarrow is the site of a ruined summerhouse which was part of Duxbury Park. The summerhouse was demolished in the first half of the 19th Century and replaced with a statue and grave marker for a beloved family dog.
