Civic is a little faster but the out come would be pretty much the same because of the torque limiter that protects the engine and the transmission. If you tune the ecu of these cars you will see that the one that gets more torque per tune is the civic a lot of torque is being sacrificed for "reliability" because you know, first mass production turbo models...

The cvt is the problem. It makes the car slower than it should be and mimicking shifts is the icing on the cake. The engine isn't great but whatever, they make good power when tuned.
