I was at Wrestlemania 31 in the crowd people in the section I was in were saying that Roman vs Lesnar was going to Suck, by the end of the match, me and everyone in my section was clapping. I lost my mind watching the heist of the century
As Sting is my favorite wrestler of all-time (yes, I got choked up watching Revolution), I wish I could say this but I've never been more bitter about a match - Sting getting fed to Triple H, the match basically being DX vs. nWo and Vince's final "fuck you" to WCW. I know the Stinger turned down the WWE a lot before he finally signed on, but maaan they did him absolutely wretched here. Not that it's much different with the rest of his run. One win (IIRC), but only because he was tagging with Cena, this match at 'Mania and then Rollins nearly ending his career.
@@TheRavenholme sting losing to HHH might have been the most pointless thing. They had HHH win and then do nothing with him until the rumble the year after just to try and get Roman over🤦🏾♂️
I completely agree. Sting should have/deserved to win. Although his injuries within his time in wwe didn’t help he was completely used to catapult talent like Rollins at the time. But triple h vs sting was still a great match x
@@euanbaird5175 i didn't liked the outcome I badly wanted to sting to win but that match was best in that year WrestleMania and arguably triple h 3rd best wm match in 2010s debatable with bryan in 2014
I accept the picks you had in this match category, Santi. But I would love to add some more like Mysterio/Rhodes at WM27, Mysterio/Eddie at WM21 and Cedric/Mustafa at WM34! Also, how about a couple of Mania ideas for you? WrestleMania matches that had the wrong winner, and matches which had a better rematch. Also, why aren't you posting your opinions on other promotions like AEW, TNA and more? Any valid reason behind? I've been a huge fan of your consistency in delivering great content as well as the engaging livestreams. Keep up the great work, Santi 💚
I know it wasn't at Wrestlemania, but the most underrated rivalry of the 2010s was Sheamus vs. Big Show. Everyone groaned at the booking for their match at Hell in a Cell 2012, but it ended up being a quiet masterpiece, much like the rest of their rivalry.
I love this channel man, you're making me appreciate all the wrestling a lot I keep going back to the old stuff that you reference in your videos. PS. Fun fact - my channel started as a wrestling Channel back in 2015!
Goldberg vs Lesner at WM33 is great but I hate they had to squash Kevin Owens for it. Like this match did not need a title on the line. The story was already there
The fact both the KO and SZ Wrestlemania 38 match is on this list really highlights exactly why they were both the main event of the following year in one of the biggest storylines of all time having the second most important moment in that entire saga
3:22 Taker vs Styles > (W mention later) i need that Braun Strowman return he just injured right ??? Wish KO vs Stone Cold had no segment before it and it woulda been 10/10
Austin recognized his limitations and played to what he does best. Just went out there and had a good old fashioned brawl with KO. He didn’t fall into the trap so many other old timer wrestlers fall into.
Went and watched the 4 team tag. 8 minutes of absolute quality. The strowman splash and the ricochet shooting star the 2 stand out moments. Absolute madness.
Ronda Rousey's debut match at WM 34 was surprisingly entertaining to me... Talk about entertainment value for people that don't normally watch wrestling. The acting in that match was superbly over the top. HHH and Steph played their parts to perfection to make Ronda look like a beast.... If only the rest of her WWE career played out as well as this. But damn, was that match a lot of fun. I was just laughing throughout
@@pleaseshutup7053 Did you think it was gonna be great? At least from a wrestling standpoint, I don't think you can say that. 2 part timers well past their prime, an unknown (pro wrestling) quantity... and Steph. So yeah. My expectations were low. But from a pure entertainment standpoint? Top notch
I agree those cinematic matches were so unexpectedly good. I almost want them to do another one, but I dont think anyone besides Taker/Wyatt could really pull it off.
I feel like it's overlooked a lot of the time because this was Wrestlemania 25 and shared a card with Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker I, but holy shit I did not expect Matt and Jeff Hardy to have such a good match together and goddamn did they. Sure it suffered from Matt winning, but that was still such a incredible match (that they outdid it a month later at Backlash blows the mind).

100% this. Even with the men's showcase match, the Intercontinental title match and how good the meat of the Cody vs. Roman match was, Charlotte and Rhea had the best match of Wrestlemania 39.
@@thegameking3931 Unfortunately, I didn't. Don't get me wrong: from a storyline perspective, for the character-work and selling the Bloodline as a very credible threat it was damn near perfect. It was a culmination of Sami Zayn's stint with the Bloodline, a multi-year storyline with K.O. coming to one of the best end's we've seen with the two of them teaming up as friends which led to an absurdly entertaining tag run (even if the run itself in regards to matches was pretty bad) and the first real damage actually done to the Bloodline (which is still felt today; going into Wrestlemania 40, no matter the outcome of the matches I'm not sure the Bloodline will be anything beyond Roman and Solo after April 6th/7th). It earned it's praise there. Just the match itself, the actual wrestling was about half that quality. I mean they were selling superkicks like The-Rock-on-Ken-Shamrock steel chair shots and just comparably to Night 2's main event was almost entirely story-, plot-driven. Which is fine, but damn if that didn't feel like 20+ minutes of stumbling around because it was a pair of OVR 63 CaW's taking on a pair of OVR 96's. That's probably just me, but the actual wrestling of the match did nothing for me. In terms of tag match's, I preferred the men's showcase.
