I am Welsh and I must say, I am excited about the sheep.
HAHAHAHAHAH
And this game is produced by just one man who did a great job i will buy to support him for his creativity
Content creators are playing for so long before us that we will get burn from this game way before it's official release.
That's why I'm really scared to release content for it dude. Like I was stoked on early access to learn the game but there's a point where you just cannibalize you're audience and content options by going hard in the paint early. My content is slated for the day or two before release and after
@@italianspartacus Yeah I know that's not your fault, you are definitely not the first to post content on Manor Lords, but I almost feel like I have consumed all the content of the game while not having played it lol
I feel like instead of 2 weeks is too long. One week feels like it would’ve been better because it’s long enough to show off the game and short enough to not feel burnt out on. Especially for a game that likely only has enough content for tens of hours (which is still a lot).
Totally agree dude. I also don't think a lot of content creators have the presence to understand that releasing content NOW doesn't help THEN when the search volume is higher. For example, I have a beginners guide I'm making.... You can't play yet, so you're probably not searching for that. If I release it around early access launch, then you're now searching for it and RUclips will try to show the freshest content possible OR the most relevant. I just don't like to slam hours into a game that will only improve and possibly change
Love this. There are RUclipsrs that are literally 100%ing the game already lol. If that's for you, the viewer, then cool, but I just was shocked we are already 100%ing the game before the rest of us can even get hands on it. Loved the video btw.
every single total war youtuber i followed is playing this game, every single one!!!
Because it has attention, you'd be silly not to as a content creator. Not saying it isn't a good game or this isn't useful content, but everyone doing it is just part of the business of youtube.
@@olith Truth be told. It's all for the clicks. The West has a habit of abusing the algorithm on both RUclips and Twitch.
I wonder if they know, its not a Total War like game, it's not about conquering the world.
Nothing like total war 😬
@@olith grifters
Wow. The hype IS real. I'm actually impatient for this release and that hasn't happened since Dungeon Keeper 2. No joke, this game looks like it's everything anyone's ever wanted in a city builder. Even things they hadn't imagined and didn't even know they wanted yet. Foundation has alot of this but not all.
Can't wait. I need a peaceful medieval village to chill with and watch grow...
The prefect amount of historical realism, depth and complexity I had hoped from Stronghold 2 onwards, never mind to have waited nearly 20 years. Well done Manor Lords!
Loved stronghold 2
How to Play and fully enjoy Manor Lords :
1-Get the game on early access at the 26th and play all that it offers you and have a great time ,don't complain about the bugs instead give positive feedback to the developer.
2- After you finished all that the game offers in month or 2 months time delete the game and forget about it for tow or 3 years.
3- Now the game is fully released and it's finished and polished while you forgot some aspects of it.
4- Reinstall the game and all the DLC's that may have been released and enjoy the game once more 😁
In my head I'm picturing ItalianSpartacus' next Crusader Kings 3 intro being about some teeny tiny lord in a tiny European province, zooming down the satellite view into the Manor Lords camera to said lord, building the province to greatness and then zooming back out into the Crusader Kings 3 map.
hahaha man that'd be a really sick video idea!
I think I've mentioned this before, but I appreciate that you front load the tldr. I'm sticking around for more, but this format feels much more honest than youtubers who babble for ten minutes and then say their point.
I love to play games like this cause they're stress relieving instead of games where you want to break your keyboard.
I can see myself playing this game without needing a headset, just chilling with a youtube video open while playing.. my coffee, my joint..
Just zoning out, sinking deeper and deeper into my sofa while the hours tick away..🎉🎉🎉
Ya except frost punk that games stressful asf 😅
sounds chill
You know the dance 👌
@@denalihuttlove frostpunk, but that shit is going to give me an ulcer.
@34:13+ I think you mean use the retinue as a Hammer, not an Anvil. The Anvil would be your troops on the right, while the retinue would be the hammer that hits the enemy once they engage your 'anvil' troops ;)
LOVE the variety of settings you can use to adjust difficulty. WAY cooler than just the standard Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane! In games like this I love certain things to be challenging, but other aspects to just be chill and fun, so this take on it is pretty fekkin awesome I'm not gonna lie! Great vid! Makes me excited to play this lovely developing game! Thanks for sharing! :)
Nice to see someone knowing something about Medieval times demonstrating Manor Lords and applying some facts to the gameplay.
super stoked for this game. glad youll be covering it too
it looks amazing - i dont think i have seen this building placing system before. Its genious.
I can't wait for this game to BLOW up even more and get more faction types. I would love a Viking style faction with their own playstyle
Im very excited. Ive been waiting for this game ever since i played my first R.T.S. and city builder. This was a great video too, thank you.
lol love the valley repair shop shade bubbling up
fuck the SFV!
Definitely got me picking it up through your nexus after the words “this guys got a fucking wicker basket on his head” Seriously though appreciate you talking about whether you think it’s worth the hype, and honest as always. Every review or overview of a game you’ve done has definitely helped me decide whether it’s worth my time or money.
my absolute pleasure man thank you so much - that's very kind of you bro!
I’m like a kid during the Christmas season, watching the calendar, and it is at crawl.
I'm really excited and I will get my hands on it asap. What interests me is how to get multiple areas and how to manage them, specialization, etc.
You found out why this game can be so innovative and well thought out.
It's 1 developer, a talented one at that and nobody to stop his creative vision.
Great stuff! I know I'm hyped!
cant wait to get it on the 26
Haven't been this hyped for a game for a LONG, LONG time!
Mate as soon as it is out, I will be purchasing it and uploading everything onto YT
HOG CRANKIN!
Loving the sound of ML. can't wait for full release.
Yes, yes I will build my own coat of arms. And yes I am amped too. Thanks for the awesome vid.
got yourself a sub, great content man, appreciate it
Welcome aboard! :D
you're right I don't know why there haven't been more games with these building mechanics
Loved your review!
Feels like ive been waiting my whole life for this game. After 100s of hours in banished i think i could play this for the rest of my life.
I was wondering why you haven't made a video about this game yet, ehehe.
Keep covering it as it has sky high potential. I only just managed to play the demo recently (released 2 years ago) and it was already amazing back then. Can't wait for the EA release
Also the best video describing game mechanics I have seen and I've watched a metric ton of them
I played the demo and have been waiting for the full release ever since. Can't wait for the 26th.
Im hoping they eventually add some sort of rimworld style overmap, the staring region does look pretty big but expanding the scale would be nice and could add some context to the offmap stuff that comes into your region
I'm all aboard the hype train for this one it looks amazing I'm looking forward to picking it up. Even if I did just get Millennia and still haven't finished my second BG3 run and oh yeah Against the Storm and AoW4 have new content...
i wish there was a option to rebind the rotate camera key to right-mouse button!
In a way, this game strongly reminds me of Stronghold.
Yooo the welsh slander!
I love this game too but we gotta give more love to foundation. Because a LOT of these systems, like the walls, are inspired by foundation.
You'll never take me alive! 💥
I'm loving the demo. I think I'll love the early access thing...
Polished Banished? Reminds me a lot of Banished. Love it, can't wait.
Banished is awsome.
I cannot wait for this game
Im so ready for this
Most important question for any game like this - or, indeed, any game nowadays: Is the UI and text scalable?
Got to hope so, given how many folks don't sit right in front of o pc monitor nowadays.
Getting a vasectomy this weekend, got nothing to do but sit on my butt and play this! Perfect!
They need to add dust particles ect when npcs and animal walk on the mud and dirt roads.
This looks similar to Foundation, but with more realistic ( and better, IMO ) graphics. I'm sure there's a lot of differences (like the way housing is done) but at first glance it looks similar to me or at least has the same vibe. Especially the fence tool, which looks exactly the same. And Foundation also has nested systems like this.
I really love Foundation, but it needs more. A lot more. So if this is similar but with a lot more and realistic features, I'm gonna love it. I mean, the weapon and armor customization is SO cool. That's not something you ever see in a builder AFAIK.
The only one thing I want them to do is to change the 3rd person model depends on the lord portrait.
I hope and pray my (recent) laptop will be able to run this..
Will we be able to build real castles some day? Like stone or something more further down the release?
YUP!
Verry hiped for this game i wil play on day 1
Bergage 😂 i havent heard that since some one explained why the guy in the rank and bass christmas special was the bergermeister
*Rankin Bass
Wicker basket helmet is WILD Lol
"it's dangerous out there, don't go bare-headed, take this son"
How much it gonna cost?
As a Scot, I too approve of the sheepbreeding mechanic.
A lord is someone who protected the loaf. It's a game and you can do what you want but a bit of history can give you guidance.
Looks good. I'll wait for real release though.
Might be a stupid comment but did you have arrows/bows like a surplus to be put into your towers could possibly be the reason they didn't shoot the bandits
wait what? sorry! i'm lost brother
@@italianspartacus ohh you were talking about the towers with the manor and the radius shows and what that specific radius covers or indicates and how they didn’t shoot bandits that were raiding your town and I was just mentioning about the bows/arrows if there wasn’t a surplus and weren’t delivered to those towers maybe that’s why they didn’t shoot them sorry I could’ve worded that a lot better
@@italianspartacus 21:14 is what I was talking about sorry for putting you through the ringer lol
OHHH!!! Great point dude I'm not sure. I just figured my retinue would be patrolling thr radius of that territory since the raids are like... A hidden event that occurs, no physical bandits come and remove stock, it just happens. So I was wondering if I can mitigate that somehow.. But maybe I do need arrows or bows to cause the towers to do so!
Sweet, this is on pc game pass on the 26th too. Score.
So Keen for this game :D
Impressive
The game is made by one person, the game may verywell become the game you wish for but its going to take a VERY long time. Unless the dev expands his team, which from his last public announcement doesn't seem to be the case.
And you say that based on what? You havent even played it yet.
I would love to see some DLCs like ancient Greek villages and small polis or ancient Egyptian or maybe Viking era
No
I think this game is the true successor to Stronghold Crusaders that I’ve been waiting for
The most information I have seen to date. It could be called a Super Hyped-sort-of-INFORMATIVE whatever?
I'LL ALLOW IT!
Looks very interesting, but I’ll be waiting until it’s better polished and complete before purchase. I’m getting a little burned-out on the EA concept.
Got a couple of questions about the battles if anyone wouldn't mind:-
1.) Can you pause the game during battles and issue commands? I don't want any git gud twaddle. I'm a 24yr TW vet. It's just a question.
2.) Are there campaign and battle difficulties? If so how does the battle difficult manifest itself is it just stat buffing and nerfing like in Total War?
3.) Do battles have time limits and if so can they be disabled?
4.) Mechanically how do retreat/withdrawals work?
5.) How deep are the mechanics relating to weather, season, terrain and night battles?
6.) Is there mounted warfare? Now again I don't want any smart ass fluff about it being smaller scale, levy-based, horses being expensive and more associated with social class and blah blah. I'm aware. It's a just a question. Does it feature at all? I've not seen any footage of mounted units at all so I'm curious.
38.42 - haha wicker basket
It's crazy that just one guy is making this game.
Wikipediad this. The one guy, Greg Styczeń... Wow what a talent. This puts to shame big cash cow Devs. It looks like a triple A game
Cant wait for the warhammer overhaul mod
I pray to the lord each night that he brings you back to Warhammer and each day I am met with silence
2:30 What'd you say? 😂
I've never bought an early access game before. Do you get the full game for free when it rolls out?
Yup!
how about castle building? will it come?
Yuppppp!
If any of your friends play TTRPG (D&D, PF2, etc) you're going to want to show them this :) Is there a creative mode?
One thing that i don't like in these citybuilders etc, is that radius that those market places, fire stations and others have. It just feels stupid that if your house is 200 meters away from the place, those people can't get food or fire trucks can't come to extinguish the fire. They should just make it less profitable and more time consuming if you are further away.
sweet
Still holding out for a game that enforces the rules of tincture on the heraldry.
i hope they'd give us the chance to rename a unit. I want to lead an army of Loathsome Dung Eaters
Gonna have to wait another year for Xbox launch!😭😭😭
I've had a horrible time buying games early... I'll maybe check this one out a few months after its release.
One fucking developer did this. How?
All tye evolution of the medieval society is in this game so wonderfull 🎉🎉 tha fact that the dev will answer the players to finish his game is very very cool. That is for your video you resume it very well :)
I think I will like it, but I am severely disabled and have a "lot of time on my hands". That said. looks cool. Might try it once real players start the beta and give there opinion. People like pixelated apollo, etc make money off their hype paid opinion. been sucked into early access and 90% of the time the developers are like. Ha, made a killing f*** making the game better, debugging. on to next early access game. Hope this isn't the case. look forward to it but will wait to buy.
bought it, over hyped
WARNING the game Developer is wholesale 'BANNING' & 'DELETING' STEAM Customers from the Discussion boards … this is NOT a good sign , especially for a game that has not even been released yet !
Buyer Beware !
Regards.
Ok...I'm asking. Are you from the Valley? I was born and raised there
Hahahaha naw not SFV, I'm from the valley next to SFV ;)
@@italianspartacus Depending if you go north or south. The OC or maybe the Inland Empire? Or Simi?
CHRIST SIMI!? GOD NO. San Gabriel valley
i just sold over 100 steam cards for .01c to .03c each till i had the 2 dollars i needed in my wallet to buy this, took like an hour to do it
It looks good but I am going to wait 1-2 years for it to settle properly.
Isn't this what stronghold 3 was supposed to be?
The Settlers on crack !
The bottom of the Orthodox Cross is the wrong way O.o
Over 2 million wishlisted and they don’t wanna add co op?
Just to remind everyone what Hype means, it’s from Hyperbole.
The non normans where called anglo saxons
Depends! Anglo saxons points to the portions of Britain that were conquered by the invading saxons. The byrrthonic group, on thr Western portion, remained separate for a good chunk of time, then it was divided in half - norther byrrthonic and southern. Northern goes on to mesh with the picti to become the Scots and southern mesh with the britons :)
Kiss me my lord
I hope the Total War crowd will temper their expectations about the combat aspectr of this game. The DEV was already clear that this game is a city-building management at its very core. The combat aspect is just secondary. I am becoming worried that a lot of content creators of this game hype it too much on its combat aspect when it is not the primary focus of the game.
i have a video coming out about that tomorrow :)
