That's a great job. I have some experience of making chanter reeds for a practice set that I made about 20 years ago but I was a terrible player and wisely gave up. Lol. I've never tried making drone reeds but I think I'll give it a go. Of course that means I need to make some drones to fit them to, and then a stock to fit the drones to, and that'll upgrade my practice set to a half set that I still probably won't be able to play, but now that I'm retired and have time on my hands, sure why not? Sometime down the line someone, somewhere will get their hands on it and squeeze a few tunes out of it better than I ever could. Thanks very much for making the video and for taking the time to upload.
Hi EavesDripper I am making a wee documentary about trad music in my local town here and I have a Piper in it and we discuss the making of the pipes, and I would love if I could use some footage from your videos for that aspect of Tony's content. Would you have this footage in 1080p resolution or is it only 720p and could I have permission to use some of your video content in my film please? Full credit for your footage obviously given to yourself. Many thanks in advance

That's my favorite wood for making Native style arrows out of. Will have to try this.
Hello, who are you, any way to contact you besides here at this forum?
I'm a pipe maker in California. I'd love to try the syringa out.
Now I know I can make drone reeds even after a nuclear war! ;-)
Any chance you would sell a syringa drone reed? Thank you!
Lovely!
What time of year is best to cut elder?
