We need a robust note keeper that is an alternative to browser bookmarks. That allows our own personal databases where we can save info and attached notes in great detail. It needs an AI search feature. The ability to write your own notes is a leap ahead, and and to attach them to info you save from the internet is a must, not just for business, but for everyone.

100% agree with you. Features like what you are talking about seem like a way we can recapture our personal information back from the corporations. Then maybe our personal data sets will have value and we can trade on that in the future

This comment is basically describing Obsidian no? I use a markdown downloader extension to grab entire pages, or just a `git clone` for repos. It's completely local, so I use SyncThing to sync with my phone. It has some ChatGPT plugins but NotebookLM in Obsidian would be pretty wild, especially multimodal! (Obsidian can do audio and images)

You can try it outside of US with a VPN. I'm doing it right now and it works, a little bit slow tho, because I'm just using the first vpn I found.
