Thank you for the nice comments. Flying the CJ4 is serious business but we try to make them entertaining while informative. Glad you enjoy the videos and hope to have more very soon.
Thanks everyone for your nice comments. We will be posting a new video soon for a flight from KLBE to TNCM which is St. Maarten. Made it non stop in 3 hrs and 50 minutes
Vance good observation. That was me in the left seat and you were correct. That was years ago now and things have changed. Pilots new to jets should have mentor pilots for some time to get them comfortable flying. We still fly together which is good for customers, family, etc. but I fly solo a lot as well for simple missions. Thanks for watching.
Newbie here on the cj4... How do you know when it is time to disengage the AP during the last moments of the ILS approach? I had a feeling it was disengaged far away from the runway this time.
Hello and thanks for watching. As far as the autopilot disengagement it varies quite a bit. In real busy airspace I keep it on at least until I intercept the ILS but in other times where we have to deal with less traffic I hand fly the entire approach. We both always hand fly up into the flight levels unless we are flying a complex departure again in a busy airport environment. The CJ4 is a high performance light jet and can be a handful sometimes especially single pilot. If you watch our approach to minimums into BHB Bar Harbor Maine, I had the autopilot on until 200’. Thanks again for watching and if you have any questions let me know.
I know that CJ4s have some unusual CG characteristics, especially single pilot with empty cabins. How often does that come into play in practical operations. Do you carry shotbags? How often do you have to move them around? Thanks.
Oscar at 45000’ and at full load after climb out the speed is .70 Mach or about 450kts . However temperatures can affect the speed. Higher temps, lower speed and vice versa. Hoped you liked the video.
Actually 9 passengers can be seated on the plane with a single pilot; however that would be putting one on the belted potty and the other on the side facing sat at the entrance. A smaller person in the side facing seat would be OK. Both seats are not ideal for a fairly long haul. So comfortably,7 or 8 would be good.
James, It is a beautiful plane not only to look at but also to fly. The performance is awesome and you have to always stay ahead of the plane since things happen very quickly. Hope you enjoy our videos and thanks for watching.
@@citation80hbflyer38 I was learning to fly, and also A&P and avionics, when my health too a turn for the worse. Now I'm disabled, dreams shattered. That was hard to type. I enjoy reading up on the latest innovations, it keeps my mind occupied. One thing that really bothered me about working on aircraft, I worked in electronics for years and all the wiring was color coded. But there are three colors of wire in an aircraft, white, white, and last but not least, white. Thanks for the video, I've been working hard to regain at least some of my ability, maybe some day you'll see me in the sky, I'll throw you a wing salute.
Hang in there James. Dreams are meant to be experienced and hopefully you will be able to experience yours. Remember when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Never lose hope. We will be traveling this Saturday and probably filming the trip. I’ll give you a shout. Take care.
Excellent quality! One of my favorite private jets, love the in depth content you provide on the CJ4. Thank you so much for the video.

“It’s always good to show off excellence...” great stuff and you guys have fun doing it.
That landing was butter. Well done, sir.
Landing would fail a checkride. 1,000 feet past the 1,000 ft marker. Insidious safety issue.
Very enjoyable to watch, nice landing
Super smooth landing. Bravo!
Excellent flying Gentleman!
Thanks Hunter! Glad you enjoyed the video. It is nice when someone takes the time to comment.
Nice! Glad the ILM controllers treated you right! They are always excellent...
You guys are awesome! Great video.
Thank you John! More to come in the future.
I could watch these guys fly all day. These videos have great production value. Excellent camera setups.
Thanks Arawak! We will have a few new videos out very soon.
Hey, I was clapping here at home. Greased it in! ;)
Wow freaking butter - great to watch. Thanks folks!
Another great video gents..........Thanks for posting.

ILS AINT NO EASY THING,WELL DONE! WISH I COULD LEARN....P.S. WHAT WAS FINAL DESTINATION ?sorry the caps ,got'em wrong
Guy in left seat seems very unsure of himself, glad he has someone giving him instruction.

You did great!!! I wish I had your job! Cheers!
Thanks Luis! Actually I own the plane and fly it for business. Great airplane with lots of thrust and range. Thanks for your comments and stay safe!

Single Pilot, you may need 100 pounds in the nose. Other than that, the CG envelope is very accommodating
Do you have a bio?
what was the maximun speed did you reach at FL450 with full load and pax?

@@citation80hbflyer38 many thanks for answer me
"it's only the landing that counts"
For the passengers that is correct!
Are you sure this is MYNN Nassau Bahamas?
Eric - this was landing in Wilmington, DE on the way back from MYNN. Sorry for the misleading title.
It's Wilmington, NC

I'm curious: Is there a passenger limit the non commercial pilot can carry?
Not that I am aware of.
@@stardustdreamfactory1947 There is a 9 passenger limit on a single pilot (not a function of commercial vs non-commercial).
There's a sort of Laurel and Hardy to these two, proficient but clearly ammuture. Often lacking clarity.
Calling the beautiful lady an "airplane", almost seems like like an insult.
