    I for one greatly appreciate you opening every cupboard and drawer. Since people have stuff of life that needs a place to be.😁

    Yesss! The 45° wooden slats! A 1980s contemporary house feel! Very cozy! Perfect setting for the water...not too uppity, not too antique, right in ye olde wheelhouse as they say hahahaha!

    One of the nicest boats for sale that I’ve seen for a while, the price reflects this. If i was a serious buyer i would have gone for this

    It is gorgeous, of course. The only disappointment (for me; it's thoroughly subjective and others may feel differently) is the tiny solar system. With the obvious cash outlay in this narrowboat design I think I would have utilised every bit of her topside.

    Can someone tell me what the A frame cabins are called? Watching other nav videos i see the A frames nearly come to a point but ive no luck in finding them through a google search...im not referring to the bow covers that some have, these A shape cabins run halfway down the boat or the entire length--thanks yall

    57footer can go almost anywhere in the county as there a few locks on the system that are only 58 foot.long

    • @MichaelsMustang
      @MichaelsMustang 3 года назад +1

      rugbyboats.co.uk/lock-sizes/ In theory a 60' can do the entire system if you read the first paragraph and even if you did not want to risk it with the fenders of at best it us about 1 or 2 % of the system anyway.

    What are all the circle cushions along the wall for?

    • @presterjohn71
      @presterjohn71 5 лет назад +4

      They are for the porthole windows. They usually have loose removable towel like covers too. They have three jobs 1. insulation against the cold. 2. They soak up the water (boats can get very wet windows in the morning) 3. They cut out the light 100%.

    what is the thing with all the dark ceramic tiles on these boats.?

    • @MichaelsMustang
      @MichaelsMustang 3 года назад

      I assume you mean the tiles behind the multi fuel stove, if that is the case they protect the timber from the heat from the fire

    • @presterjohn71
      @presterjohn71 5 лет назад

      Wow that is a hefty loss. Boats are like renting on your own terms though. You could easily spend £8 on rent per year or on average lose that on value per year on a boat. In this case more than at £8k though. that is a big drop in price for such a short term.

      Did someone actually buy it from Rugby Boats at 100k? I doubt it... there is a difference between what it goes on at and what it sells at. This seller is no different to other (estate) agents/brokers... there are pros and cons to different marketting strategies. You pays your money and takes your choice.

      The point is there are many of us who are thinking of fitting out a ‘sail away’ and are watching these to get lovely ideas we mightn’t otherwise have thought of! If you are one of these dreamers do check out The Theodoric! She is a simply charming trad you musn’t Miss!

      @@joaniemckinney970 - yes I dream of ideal layouts. I'd go for kitchen - dinette - lounge (stove in middle of boat prob deisel) bath - bedroom. Oh and lots of solar :))
