How to unlock a fire damper

For anyone who’s in a bind and doesn’t have a strong magnet handy, just vise grip the damper on the rivet where he tries to grab. Pops right out.

Hi. Can you supply an access panel big enough to get both my arme through as well lol. Anyway, thanks thats a good tip and I'm getting myself a magnet for my toolkit. Did I mention that fire dampers are nasty to maintain but a great revenue stream.

Yea I know, it’s in the training school! Fire dampers are the next asbestos industry in my eyes, we’re up to £200k a year but there are some huge firms out there doing it now.
I’ve trained probably 1000 guys over the last 3 years so I know it’s growing
