Most important is 100 % originality the dial, crown and serviced I love patina on the dials but always check the hands and markers if correct I own about 20 vintage watches mostly Eterna Matic’s , Zenith’s and Cyma’s !
Use magnifying glasses and compare the structure of the the hands with other parts of the watch. But it’s not always possible to say that all parts “original “
I have just found your channel and website. I have been looking for a vintage square case watch. I have been looking and some omegas as you seem to have stocked a few any recommendations?
great video.question, are 1980's vintage gold piaget polo's and beuche-girot's worth the money? I have been told that they are nearly impossible to repair, due to lack of parts and grids for the quartz mechanisms.thank you
Hi there, thanks for your kind feedback! Unfortunately im not a watchmaker and can’t give you any information about this topic. but personally we have never had problems in terms of parts for these watches. But our watchmaker is a beast :D
Great video and nice camera work and editing. I never got the NOS thing. You pay a big premium, but if you wear the watch it's no longer NOS. I hope people who buy these think that it,s like buying a new watch and wear them. It's shame if they spend their life in different safes.
Thank you so much for your great feedback! It's incredibly nice to hear that viewers like the video and that the work was worth it! In my experience, NOS watches are not bought to be worn, but rather buyers are willing to to keep this condition for a long time. A classic watch for the vault, so to speak. Of course there are exceptions :-)
Please Do video about Universal Geneve Compax from 90s I loke it so much but not much information is on internet Compax rex 884 485 and Baby Nina Thanks A lot I am big fan of Chanel ❤🎉
Amazing Video. I recently bought an omega chronostop ref 145.009 but the lumes of dial are faded. anyone know how much would it cost to replace the dial through omega ?
tolles Video.
The four factors to determine the value of a watch is ... 1. Manufacturer 2. Age 3. Condition ... 4. Value ? heh? So value is a good indicator of value ... got it. What about rarity?
have a vintage watch was not able to find nothing on the web , brand is Orial , look like is from 70is , is mechanical , and has no marking or serial on the movement ,body is brass chrome plate , well is working and look nice , and i only pay 20euro for it ,
Some of not all these watches are valuable so tell me why isnt the presenter wearing silk gloves surely the acid from his fingers would effect the watch
Loved the video. The lighting is amazing. Very helpful. 🎉
Thanks a million! We’re glad to hear that you enjoy it ( and hopefully learned something 😄🙏)
Really good information, thank you.
You’re welcome ☺️

Agreed 🙏🤝
On the platinum day-date 36mm without the lume, how to tell if hands are (original) or not?
Use magnifying glasses and compare the structure of the the hands with other parts of the watch. But it’s not always possible to say that all parts “original “
Nice video, very helpful. Thanks!

It’s a question of your design preferences. I can’t give you any recommendations because it’s completely up to you. Only buy what you really like 👍
@@GoldammerVintageWatches I will just keep an eye on your site until one is so unbelievably I have to have it

Thanks a lot, we wouldn’t recommend to change the lume. Its normal that lume is fading after some years :)
Hey, tolles Video!
Also amazing thumbnail
Thank you 🙏

What books do you recommend?
We don’t read watch books. We’re more into websites and forums 🙏
We will teach you to read books.
Thanks Felix, all good sense!
You’re welcome ☺️
what about rarity?
Also in important fact! Thanks for the addition

Why did you use the phrase
" civilian day" ?
Do you have a military background?
Or is that a horological term ?
