I love how similar yet very different Akagi and Wakamo are from each other
Akagi = wants power, sees SKK as a way to gain power
Wakamo = has power, sees Sensei as a way to gain meaning/reason to power
People when they see Wakamo: oh shes the crazy yandere. actual wakamo:really really lite yandere if at all is a sweetheart who is nice when given the chance to show it. she tries for those she cares for to not give in to her tendencies of being destructive. and yeah you raised the point i tell people about blue archive characters. they setup the character trope and absolutely run with it but then they add that layer of them people dont expect. and its refreshing to see they master that idea of a character personality trope but give their character a whole hidden side. its often a rare sight to see that mould be broken tbh as some authors/character writers dont try beyond that.

A detail I really like with Wakamo's civilian outfit is her umbrella.
Not only does it make her look really dignified and elegant, it's also a very subtle way of showing how she can go undercover even with her halo: Because just by tilting it the way she does and holding it low enough, the umbrella can cover it from most passing eyes. That combined with how regal she looks and most people won't really bat an eye at her because few people have ever seen her under her mask.

@@Hawk2zer0 In regards to your edit, there's tough love, and then there's gaslighting, and Sensei just gaslighted Wakamo! I don't care if it's light, nor do I care if this is unintentional, this gaslighting is enough to make Wakamo cry! Really, seeing the students going through so much struggles and trauma is hurting my heart; Wakamo crying at the idea of Sensei giving up on her, Mika's breakdown before her redemption arc, Arius Squad's struggle to survive ever since the end of Volume 3, Haruka's neuroses, even Arisu's guilt ridden sadness in Volume 2 Chapter 2! 😢
Yeah... Wakamo is like Sensei's own secret service XD

I think You're right in saying that Wakamo is more of a bridge between the characters of Taiho and Blutcher. Folks were bridging her more between AL crazy in love's but that's unfair, given how sweet Wakamo can be.
I've seen someone comparing her to Roon, that gave me an uncomfortable chuckle. Since commander's authority (and later on his affection) is I think the only thing keeping this sociopath in check.

That being said I understood most of it for some reason.
When that day came where everything planned went wrong. I felt better becuase thats literally what happened to me today. Its been quite an unfortunate day for me.
I honestly thought wakamo was Amagi. Shes a bit scary.
This is a character story for another gacha (somewhat managed by Yostar - the JP variation is...Global isn't) called Blue Archive. This is one of the many characters Wakamo. She definitely does look like Amagi/Akagi, so if you're from the Azur Lane side...I can understand that being a bit confusing. In a way, they are similar to character memories in Azur Lane.
Does that help clarify that a bit?
