First of all pichavaram and tharangambadi is not in pondycherry... Pichavaram is nearly 65 to 70km away from pondycherry and tharangambadi is 120km away from pondycherry.. pls share the correct information or else don't share it

I have been visiting Pondy almost from 1995.. It's one of my favourite cities in India.

@@akshigadhia6540 yes you can visit in July or August. It's a good time to visit. My personal favourite time to visit Pondy is on New year's Eve. Rock beach would be so lively and happening.

@@chittuluribhuvaneswari2914 There are plenty of Airbnb properties now in Pondicherry. Read all the reviews in Airbnb before booking the property.
You can prebook any of the Guesthouses owned by Sri Aurobindo Ashram which are very affordable. But few rules and regulations have to followed while staying there. You might get it if you are lucky 😀
Try beach guest houses in ECR beach too. Few resorts which are like 3-5 KMs away from the main Pondy are comparatively cheaper.

Pichavaram happens to be part of Chidambaram district Tamilnadu.
Not Pondicherry its not part for Pondicherry UT.
It's70-80 kilometers from both karikal and Pondicherry
Chidambaram isn't a district, it is a municipal town in Cuddalore district

Just two things I wanna add about this area as your ardent fan.. 🙏
1. Tranquebar is NOT in Pondicherry. Infact folks from Chennai do a popular circuit as Chennai - Pichavaram( Pondicherry) - Gangaikonda Cholapuram Temple (A UNESCO site) - Tranquebar - Poompuhar (Cauvery merging with sea) - Vaitheeswaran Temple ( if time permits) and than back to Pondicherry/ Chennai. That's coz travel in a pvt vehicle from Pondicherry to Tranquebar takes 4+ hours from one side and yes morning at that beach with crashing waves is awesome 😅
Just that people might plan it with Pondy itinerary w/o sufficient time in hand if not aware.. 😅
2. Was expecting Gingee fort in your video as it's a part of Pondicherry district but because 2-3 hours away from main town, not very crowded.

I just visited Pondicherry and indeed it is a wonderful place, but I also visit auroville and I have not seen anything like you showed in your video, instead I got really disappointed with this place, as they made it too much touristy and kind of monument to watch.

Yercaud is near Salem,Tamilnadu. Nice hill station. Not many view points but good for its climate and greenery.

Bansuri Beach Resorts near Sandunes is one of the best. Very close to the Beach, Classy. I stayed there during my vacation to Pondicherry. Its very rare to have such resorts very close to a famous spot, with such facilities at a budget price. Also it provides free entry to Sandunes❤❤❤. Must go 😍😍
