Great video! I would suggest one other method though. Reviewing random cases from your hospital's PACs. Going through cases, trying to find the findings by yourself and then reading the report and see what I left out. It trains your attention to detail and interpretation skills. On top of that, sometimes you can review the rest of the clinical investigation and check what the final diagnosis was.
That is true, I forgot, I do it sometimes, might be more valuable early in one's career. Currently, I more often see stuff that hadn't been mentioned lol
I am more of a visual learner using mainly video teaching and radiopedia.I also set objectives for my self , for example I am learning prostate , so evry time I am on duty I brows the PACs and read blindly 2 to 3 cases , then check the report and whenever I feel that I get it , I take a course , a hand one course with cases and then add more cases to my list and make an excel spreadsheet to track the pathology .It is very time consuming , but it pays off .I also when possible I ask for observership in highly specialized center .I love learning !
- Follow-up cases - Discuss interesting cases with colleagues (types of colleagues with no social barriers to show-off or being shy of making mistakes)
My list would have youtube videos such as this along with free webinars and free teaching videos on SSR and MRI online. I personally would place vidoe based learning much higher than books which can be uninspiring at times .
As a rad resident, I feel that going through lots of questions with quality explanations is one of the most efficient ways to learn. I actually do a combination of videos, questions, prn Google/Radiopedia, and select books per rotation.
When eg starting to learn a new topic, a. learn anatomy WELL. b. Open text to that chapter and look at every picture and read the captions. Perhaps too simple advice depending on who’s reading.
Hi thanks for the insightful video, just wondering how you structured your learning as a resident to do so well for the final exam? I am feeling quite overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge required !
Is it hard for a radiologist to determine muscle fasicle length and cross sectional area measurements of rotator cuff muscles? What is the smallest unit of muscle mri shows(like muscle fiber, myofibril, sacromere etc)
I did a 320 ct renal angiogram kub with contrast when I was very young. Like 18 in 2014. Can you please let me know what will be my approx radiation exposure. Just curious
Hi there. Recently I got an invitation to a radiology clinic as a medical student. I would like to ask what should I know to not be totally lost? What should I repead to be prepared? Thank you for you answear.

I agree, video is a powerful tool for radiologists, much better than PowerPoint

Which r better options to superspecialise in after radiology???
What are ur thoughts on IR?
IR has huge potentials in my country as there are about 70+ actively practicing IRs in a population of 110m.
IR is like surgery, only magic!
Kannst du bestimmte deutschsprachige Lehrbücher für den Einstieg als Student empfehlen?

best thing you can do ist know the anatomy
1on1 teaching in germany is non existing, which makes it really hard to learn sometimes.
I did 1on1 coaching in german with a couple of rads, but currently 1on1 is fully booked and I am not accepting new fellows at the moment
@@DrChristophAgten Alles gut. Ich gönn dir dein Konzept.
