i can't watch this with you referring to a router as "wifi" a router isn't "wifi" it is a device that can specifically connect other networks to other networks and can involve Wi-Fi but doesn't have to be Wi-Fi. dumbing it down in this way misleads your viewing creating a limiter on what the technology can actually do.
Can a router and a modem be combined in one device? Because i have a modem at house, with multiple port and wireless connection, and I didn't have to buy a router. I'm wondering if you are talking about old modems too.

Still not clear because you said the router is signals for around the home yet they have a Sim slot to receive outside internet so can I buy a 4G router for home internet without having to buy a modem?
he's giving you wrong info here, your router can also perform the function of a modem as can your switch, to limit your knowledge by allowing you to think only a modem can do this is an injustice to your learning. and places a limit on your understanding of what the technology can do.
I just think, a modem is basically a wireless router and doesnt need connecting up like a router, meaning it doesn’t need to be connected to the telephone lines or whatever it needs hooking up to to actually provide the internet to your devices. Also a modem is just found one similar to a friends modem, its literally a one off payment, you pay for it to arrive to your house (off amazon) you plug it in wait for it to connect to the internet (that i dont know how it does) then you take the passkey on the back and manually enter it on your pc and other devices except your phone because you can scan the qr code and it hooks you up automatically. The downside to modems are, their cheap but for a reason my reason is opinion based, the internet connection on a modem can drop very easily compared to wifi router, because wifi routers are full fibre meaning their underground, where modems are going off signal or something i dont know.
i only want a modem for my ps4 just using a ethernet cable will that give me the internet and online gaming? Also will I have to get billed once a month for a modem?
