      You're gonna be all right. It's almost impossible to win a game when you keep making mistakes, and on top of that the refs want to punish us by penalizing our defense 30 yards two games in a row, and then they don't call PI on OSU as the player pulls Stoops down by his arm well before the ball got there. That's the type of call that refs make 10 out of 10 times. That's also the type of non-call that I think a coach should be able to challenge. It was BLATANTLY PI. It shouldn't come down to the refs, and we made way too many mistakes, but the refs changed the outcome of the game in favor of one team over the other. That's not their job. I'm confused as to why the refs even care that OU is leaving the conference. There's somebody pulling the strings, and I think Brett Yormark is the obvious culprit.

      @@Tom_Van_Zandt the overall calling sucked and that was a grotesque non-call PI call on the stoops catch, but there was also a very blatant end zone missed PI not called on y’all which cost us a touchdown in the 1st half… I don’t have a pic or a clock count on it handy as it wasn’t at such a critical time in the game. But, I do have pics of several obvious no calls against y’all during critical downs with open field in front of us. The officiating sucked. SUCKED. But, it went both ways.
      Which is awful bc this was the end of a tradition we all hated to love and loved to hate. The focus on that 1 play throws shade on a win that was not given to us. Both teams left their hearts on that field.
      If we watched the game replay side by side and tried to be objective, I think we’d agree the officiating was pretty evenly CRAP. I did go back w my Sooner dad who is a former coach and he agreed there were pivotal crap calls throughout the game on both sides. The stoops one was just with 4:53 left on the clock. But… The game would not have ended there nor would it have played out the exact same as it did. The capacity for both offensives to score in under a minute/minute and a half… We both had plenty of time to answer more than once. So, it in and of itself didn’t decide the game.

    Both have their roots in offense and call their plays as well.
    This is his first time being an OC and its OBVIOUS. At the other stops he just installed the offense at practice and did what he was told to by the actual OC aka the head coaches. (Think of Brent and Ted) or how USC has an OC but lincoln calls the plays and its lincolns offense.

Not that the D has been great, how could it be, they don't have the depth or overall talent to be great on D. But the defense has been solid all year long. Lebby is not getting the job done right now. If he doesn't figure it out before the season ends, a change needs to be considered.

    Oklahoma is missing Cale Gundy’s presence. BV needs to hire a QB/ Co-OC to either assist Lebby or encourage him to move on. The TE’s FB’s and Special Team units are AWOL. If OU can’t win the final B12 with this weak schedule they’re going to wind up on par with Arkansas in the SEC.

  • @aaronbenda7268
    @aaronbenda7268 Год назад

    HailMary interception by Gabriel into double coverage. OU gets the lead, then Lebby calls run, run, run like he is running out the clock when it is the beginning of the fourth quarter. They fall behind and start passing the ball. Then take the threat of Stoops out of the play, by running him BEHIND the QB. Now they are playing 10 on 11. Now it is 2nd and 15 and you call a QB run. OU starts moving the ball then it is another LOW PERCENTAGE play call again.

    The no call PI on Stoops was complete and total bullshit. That's the type of PI that gets called 10 out of 10 times. The ref was standing right there and watched the entire thing and he made the decision to not throw a flag. Getting a 30 yard penalty on defense 2 games in a row is 100% bullshit. You never see a ref throw a flag for sideline unsportsmanlike conduct. Refs ALWAYS give a team a warning before throwing a flag, but 2 games in a row we've gotten a bullshit 15 yard penalty that the coaches understandably disagree with and the refs have decided to punish OU by giving the team another 15 yard penalty. 30 yards two games in a row makes me want to commit mail fraud. The other thing that's happened 2 games in a row is we didn't use our last timeout on the most critical play of the game to make sure we had the play/scheme that we really wanted. Last week it was the 4th and 6 play that if Kansas doesn't convert then the game is basically over, but we decided to hold on to the TO and we just let the play go, and go it did; all the way for a 1st down and Kansas never looked back after that. On our very last possession we had a 4th and 5 with PLENTY of time left; I really thought they were going to call a timeout so Lebby could cook up a real doozy of a play; but no, we decided to hold on to that timeout as if our livelihood depended on it. So we just ran a play where Stoops didn't even go 5 goddamn yards before the ball was thrown to him. 4th and 5 and we throw it short of the sticks. And I disagree about Lebby; I think he needs to find a new job after the season is over. His play calling is garbage. Why are we running trick plays when our regular plays are working? Guess what didn't work...the fucking trick plays! We're goddamn Oklahoma, we don't need gimmick plays.

    Turnovers, coach penalties, missed FGs, dropped passes...you can't win in that stadium like that. If you want to rant about Stoops getting "draped" (his own words in the post game interview) in the end zone. Watch any football game today - they allow contact and have for a long time because every slight touch was being ruled interference. We learned you can't play the game that way. Was there contact on that one play, for sure, but Stoops is not latched onto nor shoved, but is "draped" per his own words.
