One of the clearest explanations of truth I have ever listened too. And also the closest to nature of reality. I would love to attend a lecture someday. Absolutely brilliant.
@@ishmaelmcduffey6676 No need to agree with me. But it seems that Advaita Vedanta is more about negation (negation of the person or ego) whereas Shaivism/Tantra/Christianity/Sufism is more Life-Affirming/Celebrating (understanding the purpose of Shiva/God/Allah/Jesus/Life is Love). It's two different perspectives. I personally prefer the latter. But I guess each person can choose whatever feels best for him/her. We are unique by design/for good reason. 🙏
The version of Christianity we have today is that of gentiles (Paul's Christianity). The genuine teachings of Jesus were lost as Jewish Christians (the _first_ followers of Jesus) withered by the fourth century. Islam on the other hand is only a demonic cult. Just copy pasting from Arabian pagan religions. The RUclips channel: "Nabi Asli" and "Holy Humanist" does a good job exposing the dark side of Islam via 3D graphics. Must watch! _Rest is fine._
Enjoyed the talk a lot. It looks like the end goal of Vedanta and Kashmiri Shaivisom is same. Some terminology sounds different but at heart the steps for realizarion require mental purification followed by contemplation, realization and complete grounding. What is the status of the mind for realized person? It seems so diluted that ego drops and Jiva and Shiva bevome one much like in non-dual philosophy.
Very interesting, Shaiva philosophy is pretty cool and similar to Buddhism. His explanation of Buddhism is pretty one sided however, since the impermanence teaching in the Yogacara school (which Dharmakirti follows) is only on the level of conventional truth. At the level of ultimate truth, the Yogacara teaches an ultimate unchanging principle, called Suchness, the Dharmakaya, or the "Perfect Nature". The main difference is that Yogacara rejects theism and an atman. The Recognition school's critique of Buddhism that you need an atman to explain memory also does not land against Yogacara, since Yogacara explains memory through the storehouse consciousness, a kind of subconscious stream of mind which is a deeper layer of mind.
What is Hinduism? +++++++++++++++ I have long pondered on what constitutes this so called religion that is sitting on the head of my Tamizh people and have come up with some conclusions .... The priest from the Zoroastrian religion came to india with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans in old Sanskrit to form the Vedas which was never written down. These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition that originated in the southern part of the sub continent namely in the Tamizh tradition and started incorporating it into their already existent vaiteegam rituals and produced the Upanishads and became vegetarians. For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophical Tamizh infused land about the 8th century Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time. Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition and put forth the bakti religiosity. This they took also from the Christian tradition and desperately created for the Islamic onslaught. Bakti was based on erotism and appealed to the masses. The high Samana tantric philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured 'Hindu' religion of the wretched puranic tales. This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste system( the four varnas) that the British gave the final seal to....
What a fascinating topics 🙂🙂

Tantra seems like most life affirming philosophy. 🙏🏽

Correct. Advaita Vedanta is incomplete by the lack of a better word. Shiva/Life/Love = Sat.

Shiva. Om!
Can anyone tell me what in Shaivism is so unique to Kashmir that it qualifies for the name?
I would say the 36 tattvas are extremely different

The mind and senses are BS.
Also, the Aryan invasion theory is an utter lie. If you speak on Indian spirituality and philosophy at least don't refer to Western propaganda.
What of it is a lie? They came. They ruled. That's an invasion, bro.
