That first game was the most Zerg I've ever seen out of Protoss! Sending zealots to their deaths like its the Red Army in 1942. Great series you could definitely see the mental side of the game here.
I play this style a lot, but if Terran doesn't die I build some gases and add colossi and disruptors to the comp. The main goal for me is to get ahead in bases, like 6 bases vs 3 bases.

In the First game, Hero could of probably used Dark Templar's. It isn't a heavy gas build but after ground upgrades, the Dark Templar's can help the zealots / be made into Archons and also have blink to help stalkers. Other then that, doing a hard switch into Skytoss, like you said, is probably the other option. Use a few oracles to help the ground army during the switch.
True, also Blink DTs are much better at sniping bases and blinking out, also force scans instead of mules as Byunn had troubles securing his 4th for a while ! But he opted not to mine enough gas sadly :( !!!
the best thing about the Has playstyle is that most of your APM goes to macro and the initial stalker army, you can be extremely apm efficient, technically

Im definitely in the camp of i think protoss has a significant and unique disadvantage in sc2 but in this instance i think this is just hero throwing away a win. you cant expect to win in every situation. Hero was attacking into terran’s main strength, defensive positions. Mass zealot only works when you can attack the enemy from so many directions that their bio ball just ends up running around trying to put out fires. In this game hero either needed to use warp prisms to open up attack angles from the terran main or to use the threat of mass zealot to push into higher tech and then attack terrans defensive position with splash damage support.

It's just painful watching every wave of zealots die instantly knowing that wave cost 1,000-2,000 minerals. I mean if Hero was playing a Zerg and they threw the same amount of minerals worth of Lings I can't help but feel it would have been different. Not to mention 4x the number of units. I am just a spectator but it does seem to me that Protoss have a few distinct weaknesses. Their economy is fragile, their static defense is weak, and Pylons mean their bases have an inherent soft target that results in huge effect if destroyed.

My theories are that they have to do with the amount of vision / information Protoss is able to gather in addition to their constant need to be creative in the matchups.

Was watching some FFA on this channel, seems the FFA map is overly complicated. All FFA needs to resolve quickly is one/two infinite resource bases towards the middle of the map.
When you see the graph for income you understand how much broken mules are i mean the Protoss is on 5 bases the Terran is on 3 and he can still outmine him ... They really should change the way they work

I think he just underestmated how strong marine maurder medivic really is. Like stalkers and zealots are in the same tier of units. Sure they had ghosts but not many and its not like he needed to be efficient in trading… Plus hero is defending and defenders always get the advantage right?
Protoss gateway units scale very badly into the mid and late game, all Byun had to do was turtle and hit max supply and just overpower the gateway units.
Yeah, HAS styles are always stupidly strong and weak at the same time. And it's not because they're bad, it's because it lacks good enough people to test them against so that the builds can fine tuned. Every time I see him play, it either kills or the queue is missed to switch to late game style. You see the strength but it just lacks that clear point of WHEN to switch.
If only hero had ANY sort of adaptability after gaining massive advantages lol. It legit felt like watching a bronze 3 getting excited that he managed to get ahead and turned off his brain
The terrans benefit tremendously in terms of resources. Please read it once. Thanks to MULE, I spend less resources on SCV and only have 1 type of mechanic shield-up, so there is a lot of resource benefit. On the other hand, Protoss & Zerg need to invest more in ground and air defense upgrades respectively. Even Zerg & Protoss' defense towers cannot recover resources, but Terran has another resource benefit with the bunker recovery function. In terms of resources, Protoss & Zerg are at a huge disadvantage overall. One last thing on my mind. Terran's Cyclone & Battle Cruiser can auto-attack. Protoss Phoenix & Carrier can auto-attack. Zerg have no such units. Blizzard needs to patch these issues quickly. SC2 users need a lot of voices. Please help, thanks.

Marine Marauder Medivac is just too good a unit composition. These Terran pros still use it vs Lurkers, Colossus, and tanks even though those units are supposed to counter.
First game is a classical mistake which pro players make with economical rush builds. They get insane economical advantage and hope to break enemy force with low tier units. This works only in specific scenarios. However, if you can't do it, these players will continue to bleed resources until they lose. What pro players need to do after they realize that they cannot break the opponent: 1) Contain enemy on only easy to defend bases. Hero needlessly threw away his units instead of trying to achieve map domination; 2) Set up transition to anything. In this game even disruptor transition would had been significant; 3) Mine your opponent's bases; 4) Prepare for an expensive transition. For example, while you are doing this Zealot spam strategy, you needed to upgrade air weapons and armor all this time. When at the end he needed to start replacing casualties with air units.
I'm so bored of watching Byun. Sure he's good, but after watching Marine Marauder Medivac every single game with only a handful of more interesting units sprinkled in occasionally, it starts to feel pretty bland
