Thanks so much for the up load😀 I wish it was still on. I looked forward to watching late night with David Letterman after my afternoon shift was done at 11pm & David Letterman started at 11:35pm so as soon as i got home i’d hop right in the shower🚿 & had roughly 5-10mins left before the show started so i’d grab a nice cold “Molson Canadian” beer🍺 & some pop corn or peanuts & flop down in my recliner & wait for that classic David Letterman show music to start & about 5mins later after slugging down my beer & a nice buzz going it was already time for another cold beer & laughs from none other than Mr. David Letterman.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. This is actually the fifth Late Night with David Letterman that I've attempted to upload. All the others were blocked by Letterman's company who has their own RUclips channel. That's fine, it's their copyrighted material so if they don't want people using it then I totally understand. Unfortunately, their channel only posts small segments (interviews with Eddie Murphy, Bobby Knight, etc...) not full shows. If you attempt to upload a full show that contains one of those segments they've uploaded and protected then your video gets blocked. If they're going to do that then I wish they'd give the people what they want - full shows. Of course, they can't run the old shows as broadcast with the old commercials like I can, so I really wish they'd do like everyone else that lets me upload their content by making their copyright claim but still allowing me to show the video and then they get all the RUclips ad revenue from the video since I'm not monetized. That way people would really get what they want - the total nostalgic time-warp experience. Oh well.

@@boseymcwhy Don GIller was the all time guru historian for posting those complete shows. He announced he was going to consult for Letterman's then new RUclips channel and we all knew the writing was on the wall at that time. That new channel was going to horribly edit the shows and remove all of the music which is what made the show so great, even in Letterman's opinion himself. Don Giller's channel still has some gems but he's stopped posting (which I could clearly see would happen) and it's ironic that he spent decades recording all the shows on VHS and now we have to save them to our computers in order to preserve them like he did. Just keep uploading and thanks for your perseverance. If Don Giller were here I'd ask about this specific show, it truly does seem that Letterman had trouble booking guests for this one.

Thank you. The fact that it doesn't have any big-time guests is the only thing saving it. If it had a big celebrity, or someone who died recently, Letterman's RUclips channel would upload a partial clip of that interview, then the copyright hammer would come down and my entire video would get wiped out. I have a few more Late Nights, I'll see if any of them are low-key enough to not conflict with any clips on Letterman's RUclips channel so I can get them uploaded for everyone's enjoyment.

@@boseymcwhy Thank you! What I loved about the environment before Letterman launched his own channel was that Don Giller was uploading complete episodes totally respecting the historical archive, i.e. without slapping text over people's faces or changing the resolution or color or other tricks to try and defeat copyright. They were pure and untouched. It's a different world at the moment but I'm sure where there's a will there's a way! Thanks again
