My problem with wide groups is that friends I played with before are now wide and queues and rank gain is ridiculous
I hate how I can’t even play as a plat 2 with a diamond 3 unless we’re 5 stacking, so then it’s allowed as a wide q. When my solo q games are gold 1 to diamond 5😂😂
current matchmaking is fucking atrocious even in ranked. There is always one shitter that ruins it for the whole team. When you queue a 5 man you are just team diffed.
That's how it works buddy. A full stack team lobby is going to be team diffs. Spread squads will be more player dependent. But in a full stack 1 person being bad is actually more impactful than solo/duo/trio/especially quad squads
That’s why this game has been frustrating for me, started in OW2 and I have a love hate relationship with the fact it’s a team game. Mostly hate
The way the win/loss streak is implemented is even worse I got hit with a 12 game loss streak at the bargaining of the season won 6 and lost 1 and it gave me the loss streak penalty because it looks at your total win loss and not your recent. Probably because it was easier to copy and paste the code because we all know there is no team behind the ranked changes.
fr the amount of dps healers i’ve gotten recently is insane, and they’re never even good
What do you mean by „when you queue a 5 man you are just team diffed“? You don’t get 5 q if you solo q.

Wide groups are essentially quick play with some comp points at the end of the match (if you win). Which is cool I guess. It's just strange how eerily similar it is to just playing quick play.

That first game is like the embodiment of supporting in lower ranks, which is like Diamond and below I guess, never got to Master yet :( Everyone's low, everyone's super spread out, everyone's breaking LoS. The only thing missing is the 10% hp dps players still peaking corners before you can heal them up.

I started playing competitive OW2 1 month ago with a freind of mine, I was initially ranked Gold3 on Damage and Gold2 on Support (I play on console but with cross-platform queueing enabled).
Idk if this is something common, but competitive games felt a lot more balanced than QP.
In QP it's pretty hard to get balanced game, either your team gets rolled by the enemy team, or the opposite is true.
I was really feeling more confident to keep playing comp matches and even though I did not have outstading progress (went from Gold2 -> Gold1 on support and Gold3->Gold1 on Damage) the W/L ratio felt a lot better than QP and still mantained progress.
Well, after the last update I feel that Comp is literally like QP now. With Wide groups I accumulated a loss streak on both roles and I am now Gold5 on Damage (close to hit Silver actually) and Gold3 on Support.
I probably don't deserve a crazy high rank as I'm just not good at this type of games, but man this siatuation killed my enthusiasm of getting better.
I had a wide group with 2 people and i could not queue there were always like 25 min queues i tried 3 times over 3 days
How did Jay get more on an expected game then on an uphill battle
I and all my friends are about high gold but since we normally have a 3 or 4 even 5 stack it is always wide so that means high gold to low master game like I think my friends are good but can’t beat masters
plat to champ is kinda crazy

Wide groups are a pretty interesting change tbh... pretty good for playing with a group of friends but aside from that I don't really see their purpose

They’re pointless, if a gm player wants to play with plat or gold friends they’re gonna hop on a Smurf

anyone know what jay 3’s soldier skin is? and more importantly if the gun is part of it? the shooting sound is so satisfying i need it
Grillmaster skin, yes the guns usually go with the skin you have equipped
Its the summer skin. I think its called Grill Master
The skin is grillmaster yes, but the gun itself is a separate skin that released in the store for a bit as part of the Los Muertos pack (soldier 76 & Junkrat). The gun skin works with any of soldier’s skins

junkrat and soldier got a "Los Muertos" skin pack, guns only, that's what he's using
my friend and i had 30 min wide queue just to lose 78%

love the fact that literally a week ago i could play comp just fine with my brother and girlfriend
but now since blizz decided that GM/Bronze should be allowed to play COMPETITIVE together... its a wide que that lasts 30+ mins for one terribly unbalanced game, which even if we are on the winning side of, means absolutely jack shit.

@@CarlosEduardo-gp1nt but. why. why do gms need to play a competitive game with the lowest skill group in the game? that makes 0 sense, period. add an unranked mode ffs its not that hard.
The new progression is just flat out lame. I win 3 in a row and get a total of like 15%, I lost the next and dropped 20.
