Been playing doom for close to 6 years now. He’s really good, especially for playing for only 1 year! The main tips I would say is actually play closer to the team, so they have sightlines on your target or dive together depending on these comp. Commit to using your ult before you even have it. If you are at ~85-90 % when diving their back line full int waste all your cd you should get a kill and ult and use it to either get out or to get more kills. (depending on team comp, you don’t want to dive into sombra cass). Other than that it’s minor things like working on punches and aim, but tbh he can def get to masters without improving mechanically. I actually think the main issue is the onetricking. Against a Doom and a Sig you won’t find much resistance. Doom has quite a favorable matchup against a lot of tanks. But a good Orisa, Hog, Mauga is probably an insta loss if you can’t swap. Or just get supports that don’t fit the high healing that’s doom generally needs

So true bro. Why am I spending like 2 hours on Voltaic Kovaaks playlists to face an 11 year old. If it's any consolation most of us would be close to this level aswell if our parents gave us access to good pcs. The younger you are the faster your brain learns. That's why most professional soccer players will have been playing since they were like 5 so the basic movements we're practicing have probably already become ingrained into this kids head. I used to play nothing but fighting games when I was a kid so I can thrash the majority of my friends at those kind of games without ever having played that game because the skills are so ingrained into me from a young age. Same with mouse control. Also the younger you are the faster your reflexes. The most impressive thing is his game sense. At 11 he understands a lot of what's happening and what pitfalls not to make, and he can track cooldowns well. Good mechanics is one thing because youth will help mechanics a lot, but game sense comes from a lot of experience.
@@thehorse5307 absolutely, and as we get older and our reflexes diminish, we make up for it with experience. having good reflexes doesn't make you the best, that's why even though he's good for 11, he's still only diamond and makes a lot of mistakes in this video that even people in gold who've played for a long time, can see. biggest mistake he makes is relying on his reflexes and REACTING to what's happening. I remember Spilo talking about how one tricks do surprisingly well. The amount of one tricks are VERY small, but there's also a lot of them in high ranks. If you know how to play around your counters, like in a recent video he did teaching a Winston to play around his counters, you can dominate cause people normally expect a "counter" to be an easy win.
I think the biggest problem is that he overextends which is why the second match was a bit easier since they had lifeweaver. I think if he fixes that and starts using his ult more, I feel like it wouldn't be surprising to see him climb to masters or even gm at some point.
His problem (for what I can tell) is that he does overextend a little, but it wouldn't be as bad if he could actually secure the kills; and there his aim doesn't follow up on the rest of his kit. Plus yes, he should be more ready to use the ult, but not as soon as he can every time. most wholesome overwatch tank. I play destiny and me and these 4 other guys on LFG sherpa'd an actual 6 year old through a raid to get the divinity weapon which tbh was way more enjoyable than it sounds.
The best thing about playing and learning other characters is the ability anticipate their movements and clock their timers. Knowing how to play them is knowing how to counter them.

But I Love it ! 🤩 I just hope people arent too mean with him, cause in this game there are savage people (and usually the worst players).
Same bro this just made me want to try harder to rank up and get better it’s rlly cool to know there’s actually a pretty good amount of kids my age playing this game also.
I myself am also a 11 year old and I also play 1 year and I do see a resembling between his gameplay and with mine :) but there is one big difference I can play every character but I’m not sure if he can do the same. But keep up the good work! 😁
i mean foreal overwatch is such a complex game compared to other games to see an 11 year old on the hardest character to play and be playing at a above average level is kinda insane mad impressive
As a diamond doomfist myslef, I just cannot say he should be in masters He holds his ult for way too long, he could've saves himself and farmed another one multiple times As Jay said, he overextends a lot, which if they have a sombra or a hog, you are cooked instantly Another thing is he always tries to charge his punch fully, when sometimes it isn't really ideal bc some situations require you to just tap the button to do a little launch foward And last thing, you can also improve your aim, maybe trying a VAXTA train map could be a nice warm up before competetive for him All i said here is not to hate on him, he definetly is decent at Doom but has some things to improve on if he wants rank up to masters
In his defense on holding his ult, people in lower ranks get flamed so hard if their ult doesn't get at least 3 kills. Doesn't matter if it gets the point, wins the fight, takes ground, creates space, etc., if it's not at least a 3 piece, you're gonna hear about it.
Sadly as a doomfist main myself (started out at as DPS doom) ever since he became tank it’s been rough. Even if you’re doing super super well your teams always gonna say swap. I understand it because doom sometimes can make it so the rest of your team will be open. But if people learned to play with him he is a super great hero. This kid reminds me of myself. My pops got me into a game called task force dagger when I was too young to even remember. So I’ve been a gamer through and through all my life.
Glad the community isn’t so toxic anymore, I was 12 in 2016-2017 and was a diamond genji main, had a ton of guys who’d queue with me and chill and then when I turned on my mic for the first time they’d call me annoying and shit.
Kid is insane! First game he missed abilities, but after he was warmed up, he was hitting as many abilities and shots as just about any doom, and the space management was generally good.

@@Umtiti1 When I was 12 I wanted to go to a MLG event in nyc to play at a Halo 2 lan, my parents friends and anyone that found out dismissed it, told me it was dumb and would often tell me to go outside. I can't even imagine the life I could have had if someone supported my passion back than. There is time in life where most people are doing what they love, just because it is different doesn't make it wrong. Especially given how these "viral clips" take off, I would be pushing all in twitch youtube etc, hire a coach make that a series. Either way, I hope he continues to do what he loves and finds support from where he needs it.
Kid "im 11 years old...."
Jay3- "HOLLLLLLYYYYY SHIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT" lmaoo
I don't care what his age is. That doom is scary. I'm only plat and would get completely rolled by him. Having said that, the sky is the limit for this kid. He's absolutely amazing and I hope you feature him again Jay3.
*Boy says crap* "Dad, are you hearing this?"
*beginning of the video*
*Jay3 cursing multiple times to the kid*
🤣
Lil bro 100% going places! If he keeps up with games he’ll be an absolute menace in no time!!
This kid reminds me of my nephew!! Kiddo has been playing video games since he was 3 and now he’s 16 and still super skillful in any game he plays
Kids develop motor skills faster than adults so I am not surprised. He has a pretty good aim.
this was my favorite elo hell vid. when i was 11 (i'm 41 now), i was playing console games on the original playstation. wish games like this existed back then!
"this was my favorite elo hell vid. when i was 11 (i'm 41 now), i was playing console games on the original playstation"
lmao you werent playing on the original play station 30 years ag-
[checks ps1 release date]
[1994]
[Current year is 2024]
fuuuuuu
It's like that Bane quote kid "You only play computer games, I was born in computer games" lol
This is the cutest kid I've ever seen. I wish I was good enough at ow to play w em. Frfr. This kid goated. Push em to top 500 someone
This kid T500 now he's def going places
Jay3: "You're ELEVEN YEARS OLD??-" (a literal child, mind you) "-HOLY SHIIIIIT!"
LOL
I was about 11 when overwatch came out and that’s when I started playing and genuinely these people are so nice to him I remember starting this when I was about 11 and I would just leave coms because how mean people where because you where younger
I love his use of his lws petals for more entry points
Good job kiddo
Jay seemed like he enjoyed making this video.
I genuinely hope the best for him❤️I have a little brother and I hate how much people online will bully little kids online ❤️ We love you!
Jay 3: "Youre Eleven years old?!" Immediately starts swearing 😂
This kid goes on to place 144th in tank he’s now top 500
11 years old. Playing OW for one year. Playing against Masters/potential Grandmasters. Kid is going places, potentially esports.
I feel like the supports made the biggest difference between matches. The wifeleaver especially made it easier for him to play more aggressive on Junker.
Him admitting his faults and improving them... that was awesome to watch. 30 year old players cant even do that in the game
Jay you're legit amazing vibes man, great guy. Keep up the awesome content!
most wholesome overwatch tank.
This one spray where the kid from the OW 1 announcement trailer uses the gauntlet for the punch: It makes sense now
This kid is a monster😮 holy... Very nice gameplay!
bro finds out he is a kid and immediately yells curse words at him, nice Jay.
The kid actually hit masters let's gooooooooo!
He’s hot top 500 now 😭
Im at 3 min and I can tell this kid is good, he s going far as you learn way faster at this age. He has good game awereness, he isnt too greedy but still applies pressure. He just has to ult faster especially with doomfist its usefull to reset your cds and get your life back. But I Love it ! 🤩 I just hope people arent too mean with him, cause in this game there are savage people (and usually the worst players).
As a 12 year old who also plays ow2 I have crazy respect for him.
Same bro this just made me want to try harder to rank up and get better it’s rlly cool to know there’s actually a pretty good amount of kids my age playing this game also.
He was actually doing a good jobe😊
if this kid keeps playing by the time he's like 15 he's gonna be absolutely cracked.
Little man is already a better doom than my gm ass.
He played great, nice to watch!
Goated doom, Jay sign him rn
This kid definitely is going places.
other ways to call this kid: Zbra jr, Zbra's lil brother, Zbra's son lol
lol 😂
This kids good he’s Gonna be a true savage in a couple more years.
Diamond with doom at just 11 years old is crazy... especially when most adults playing this game are between silver and platinum.
I myself am also a 11 year old and I also play 1 year and I do see a resembling between his gameplay and with mine :) but there is one big difference I can play every character but I’m not sure if he can do the same. But keep up the good work! 😁
That was the illest 11 year old Doom player I’ve ever seen 💯💯💯
im a low GM doom and this kid would probably wash me if i was up against him. bro is going places.
Best 11yr old I've seen at overwatch
Get this kid trained and signed!
kid should re name himself baby zbra 😂😂😂😂
i mean foreal overwatch is such a complex game compared to other games to see an 11 year old on the hardest character to play and be playing at a above average level is kinda insane mad impressive
You gotta bring this kid back and train him up.
gaming since 3 is wild
Best thing I have seen u put on here
Nah this kid is definitely going places 😂
This 11 year old is WAAAYY better than other tanks who are adults already 😂 wow
this 11 year old has potentials good shit bro .. good job dad
thats a freaking lot of experience, i respect it
As a diamond doomfist myslef, I just cannot say he should be in masters
He holds his ult for way too long, he could've saves himself and farmed another one multiple times
As Jay said, he overextends a lot, which if they have a sombra or a hog, you are cooked instantly
Another thing is he always tries to charge his punch fully, when sometimes it isn't really ideal bc some situations require you to just tap the button to do a little launch foward
And last thing, you can also improve your aim, maybe trying a VAXTA train map could be a nice warm up before competetive for him
All i said here is not to hate on him, he definetly is decent at Doom but has some things to improve on if he wants rank up to masters
In his defense on holding his ult, people in lower ranks get flamed so hard if their ult doesn't get at least 3 kills. Doesn't matter if it gets the point, wins the fight, takes ground, creates space, etc., if it's not at least a 3 piece, you're gonna hear about it.
I was screaming at my screen “use your ult!”
Glad the community isn’t so toxic anymore, I was 12 in 2016-2017 and was a diamond genji main, had a ton of guys who’d queue with me and chill and then when I turned on my mic for the first time they’d call me annoying and shit.
when jay said "HOLY SH#%" - I was like bro.. kids are listening.....
19:08 GET DOWN MR PRESIDENT
proud of you kiddo
Kid is insane! First game he missed abilities, but after he was warmed up, he was hitting as many abilities and shots as just about any doom, and the space management was generally good.
