For example,he said that parents inject the fear of after life in their child so that everything that person does is because of fear.
The answer is, first of all,our ultimate purpose is to make our after life better.
Secondly, rationally and psychologically,fear is the greatest motivator because, when every motivation faints,the fear makes you accomplish your tasks.For example,if there was no fear of joblessness, people wouldn't even go to school to attain education.

First of all, what do you mean by the lens of religion?
Islam is the only true path and if you think of some ideas presented by one or two people comprising any kind of "Ism" are better than the rules of the creator,then good luck with that.
May Allah help you before it's too late.
Secondly, when it comes to love and discipline.
The actual order of how things work is opposite to that,i.e.we initially do something out of fear, then it becomes our habit,then it becomes part of our discipline and ultimately it becomes our passion.
Even when it becomes your passion,you may become demotivated at some point and fear will again make you accomplish it.
So,fear possesses ultimate importance to accomplish a task.

The philosophy of utilitarianism says that the rightness of any action depends on the happiness it produces. Hence, if we think of making a decision using this philosophy, then I will definitely pull the lever since it will save more lives and thus produce greater higher-order pleasure.
