he was specially assholish in this one
Work in a business where 80% of the people that walk into your shop are shysters that think their junk is worth a fortune and try not to be condescending... after 10-20 years.
When you are bargaining, you always act this way. It forces the other person to try to convince you.
It's called being in the lucky sperm club, and what makes it worse is when a dude loses weight to look more G.Q. and he looks the same or worse..
Kirsten, Cory is seeking a future ex wife. Are you interested?

Humble enough to admit he got fooled, respectful enough to not argue with the expert, grateful that he learned something from the experience so he might not get fooled again.
One of the best people on Pawn Stars.
He was a good man. the only character flaw you could see in this person is that he Delton reproductions on a regular basis and somehow and at some price acquired this sword that could’ve been worth $1 million and he did not temper his enthusiasm or belief to reality. But he got his comeuppance on national television and he handled it with class so -good guy
@@juicymullet585 better than that annoying haircut. lol
Or... he knew from the very beginning it wasn't the real deal and expected the expert to figure that out, but hoped maybe just maybe he could recoup his losses.

Notice how the Katana Expert always bows respectfully to Katana that were authentically Japanese-forged (ones that have real value and history) as he should coz this is a custom for Japanese (especially for someone who appreciates Katanas) to show respect for the blade but he did not do it for this sword after verifying it to be a cheap Chinese replica.
Yeah. What a weeb.
Yeah you can tell just from the wrappings and fittings, seen no true use at all.
Poor old bloke got taken advantage from whoever sold it to him originally.
He knew what he was doing
the1andonlypjsupreme as in trying to sell a fake item?
This sword is a low-quality sword that can be recognized as a fake at a glance if you have a little knowledge about Japanese swords. The way the blade shines, the shape of the cross section and the hamon are different from Japanese swords, the exterior is Chinese style, and the appearance is too coarse and cheap. The expert would have been convinced that it was a fake within a second from 5 meters.
China-made swords have gotten a lot better over the years, I have a couple old Chinese-made swords, and a pair that were made recently; The difference in quality is easily noticed, As the fittings appeared to be roughly cast and the tsuka wrap just looked cheap. Agreed that the one in this clip was an obvious fake; Most reputable Chinese companies don't try to pass them off as genuine these days, the decent ones instead focus on making a product that meets customer expectations: half decent functional blades on a budget.
Grandpa knew the sword was fake the moment he walked in the door
😂😂😂😂😂
Just wow...sellers continue to amaze me in their valuations of their items.
If it was real, it was worth 4 times what he asked, he just didn't know it was a fake.
He was so genuine about it no complaining and whining like some people when they find out their items are reproductions.
When I heard “re-production” I said “goodnight”. $1,000,000 😂😂
you're so clever

No samurai sword cut through a machinegun barrel unless it was heated to such an extreme the metal was compromised.
@edward neeewgate little known fact. You can have fun without being full of sh!t.
Machinegun barrels actually heat up very quickly, so if someone were to fire one for an extended period of time without switching the barrel, then it's possible. It might not have been a clean cut but it definitely would've done damage.
@@TheFirelordZuzu_ MythBusters tried it. Even at extreme tempratures and a thin barrel, the katana didnt do crap.
See his face when the word *Reproduction* entered the conversation.😆😆😆
1:30 why would he not know that if he already has multiple swords hahah the scripting is hilarious
"I want one million dollars!" Corey- "Takes up alot of retail space, might take a year to sell, ill give you $20"
"He's related to Mitsunari Ishida, who commanded at Sekigahara."

I dunno, considering he's basically the Japanese equivalent to Robert E. Lee then yeah I guess so. I don't claim to be a huge expert on Japanese history but anyone who knows anything about world history should know the names Tokugawa Ieyasu and Mitsunari Ishida.
