I think she did make it back, I also think that the cat can go in between worlds because its a portal as well. Ive also always wondered is that Sallys cat from The nightmare before Christmas. It looks very similar to the cat with her in the grave yard
For the theory at 3:25 Coraline wakes up in the real world because she never actually went to the other world yet she was just dreaming she did I’m not sure if the beldam has some sorta spells or something to make kids dream of going there but if you notice both times where she first goes to the other world she doesn’t use the key the door is just already open and she goes right before she goes to bed hence why she wakes up in the real world because it was just a dream the third time where she goes is actually her first time going there where she uses the key and the black cat sees her going in and follows her hence why when the cat talks to her for the first time in the other world he says “you might think this place is a dream come true but you’re wrong”
