If Jason Everman wrote a memoir about his life, I would definitely read it. I remember he had an interview where he talked about finding himself in a poppy field with rusted Russian tanks littering the area. The dude is a war hero.

Jason Everman is the effing man. It's messed up how lots of fans write off Chad and Jason. Jason may not have wrote anything but live footage shows that he played great with Nirvana and had awesome energy, he fit right in. Lots of people don't take into account that Kurt was kind of a douche, read Come As You Are, he had no problem throwing people under the bus once Nirvana blew up.

Kurt had a vision for his music and Jason wasn’t in it
When it came to being a part of the creating process of the music nobody was in Kurt’s vision but Kurt himself. That’s what Jason wanted. Which truthfully we all know Kurt didn’t need no help. Dave finally got to put one of his song Ideas into In utero. Because by that point Dave became an important member of Nirvana and Kurt know it.
Most likely did not want to be around herion addtics he was from rural Washington not into drugs and he went on to do great things with his life what did kurt the dope head do blew his self away with a shotgun blast to the chest and the band treated him like shit too. Believe me it was not because the stupid shit they have put on the internet about why he left or got kicked out Kurt was a moron.

IMO Jason Everman was Pete Best twice!
Surprisingly he went on to have a pretty interesting life himself. His actually became a military bad ass. Tho I forget what branch of service he went into. I could be wrong but I think he became a Navy seal
He was in fact a Green Beret and not a Navy Seal. I met Jason in Kuwait before the Iraq leg of the GWOT kicked off. Cool guy. Most surreal moment of my Army career.....

This is very common in bands and usually the reason members come and go...artistic differences. Everybody wants their artistic voice heard. But in a band like Nirvana, Kurt was the absolute leader and it was an outlet for HIS SONGS. Everybody else, including Dave Grohl, were basically hired hands and expendable. If you can't accept this fact, even in light of great success (Jason Newstead with Metallica) you just have to quit and move on where your art and the expression of it can be done to satisfy your need to create and share

In the last years Krist didn't hang around much cuz of his disapproval of the rampant H use. But yeah I can see that. Kinda like James would probably love a different drummer but he n Lars formed first n have that bond
