My family prefers fresh almond milk. I make a gallon per week for us to drink. I place the pulp back in the blender and process it a second time to use in soapmaking. It's a great soap! The remaining almond pulp makes a GREAT exfoliating additive, as well. I did switch to oat or coconut, though, because of the tree nut allergen. It's easier to avoid cross contamination to just keep almond out of the studio.
My Coconut Milk Soaps tend to be a little soft. I think it depends on the kind of milk. It has a pretty high fat content. Mrs. has been using a lower superfat, maybe give that a try? 😊
Love Milk soaps. Question though, please. If you make your own Almond Milk, would you recommend running through a cheese cloth after blending, or just use as is?
Almond shavers!

Could be the gum in the liquid that is causing flakiness?
It’s a good hypothesis!
I was going to suggest the gum in the almond milk as well.
I've been having the opposite issue where my milk soaps have been softer then usual, they feel super nice though

Same. I use coconut milk and I usually wait 2-3 days to unmold and cut
I find that too, and sticky for a bit from honey.
very interested in the oat milk
I’ve used oat milk. It’s a nice lather.
I’m coming to WA in September. If that cutter isn’t fixed by then, I’m attacking it. 😎
you should do one with pea protein based milk. Ripple.
I don't like the mall either
It appears to be an almost waxy consistency. 🤔
First! ✨💅
First and best. Commenter. Not child. I like you both equally. 🤪

@AmberBathCo for soaps, it’s not super necessary, but if you don’t want a speckled look you probably should.
I wonder if the hardness of these milk soaps is because of all the extra sodium.
Well hello there kidlet, 👋 welcome to the we love your mom and all of her awesome knowledge comment club. 😊 💜
