It's been just over a week since I posted this video, how's your armour holding up? Make sure to maintain your equipment regularly, it'll be cheaper in the long run!
I am just starting this game and this is the second video of yours that I have watched. Very good videos. Your presentation is very good. One of the best videos I have seen for this game and I have subscribed.
Man, i got really lucky. I found my SECOND set of expert tools in garbage. I already gave the first expert tools i found to Xenotech, so it's a really good job I watched this video before I gave the second set to some other technician. I guess i got lucky not being able to find advanced tools for the Rostok technician, otherwise I would've given him my second set of expert tools. Heh. Thank You. I watched other crafting/repair guides before watching this one and you're the only person to actually point out how important it is to keep a tool kit for yourself.
@@broom-closet nope. apparently not. i usually stay south of the red forest until i get geared enough to travel further north and i always find expert tools before heading north, whether they're in Cordon, Garbage or Rostok. maybe they have a higher spawn rate north of red forest?
@@gamingdarkside101 I’m not sure if I know of a guide apart from what’s already on the PDA, have you looked on there? It’s really good for all the little pieces of info we usually miss as players 😂
How do we go about repairing or replacing gun barrels? Can we craft it or do you have a tip on where to find it? I found a 50. Bmg, cleaned it, repaired all internal components, bought a new scope and new barrep but cant fit it😂
It is! You need to have materials ready to replace the old, damaged ones. You'll need a workbench (or tool kit) and the corresponding armour repair set (light/medium/heavy) to replace the old components with better condition ones. The nice part is, once you replace some materials and get the OVERALL/AVERAGE durability over the amount required by your repair items, you can then repair EVERYTHING the rest of the way e.g. if one part is 13% but the overall average of the gear is 65%, you could use a >65% repair item and the 13% component will repair to max, too! If you have any more questions just ask
i am very glad you made this video it helps alot ive been trying to figuire out how to clean gun parts after ive gotten them up to functional on most parts but one part or 2 parts says dirty how do i clean it
To clean weapon parts you can use weapon cleaning kits from Tech Traders - once you’ve purchased a corresponding cleaning kit, you can right click the weapon and click Maintain Parts, from there you will see ‘Clean [part]’
IIRC you need the correct components with higher durability and a suitable armour repair kit and Tools (basic/advanced/expert) which can also be used as a workbench Let’s say you have Kevlar Plates at 16%, you can replace those plates with higher durability ones of the same type, using the correct tools and armour repair kit. Once you’ve gotten the *overall* durability higher than the smaller repair kit minimum durability (will look something like 50
If you're referring to tool kits then it can be worth handing them over, as this is how you increase their supply level which gives you access to more and better equipment. I would make sure to keep hold of at least one of each kit though so you can craft on the move
@@DanExert because of your videos I got THREE guns operational by this evening. I feel more accomplished over this than getting my real life car working
do you always have to field strip to maintain your gun? why cant you use the toolbox to strip components without penalty? or can you maintain the parts without stripping them? I want to basically just know what the most economic way is to maintain your gun if you are keeping up with the repairs
You can replace a part of a weapon by dragging your good parts onto your weapon, dont need to field strip it, but you still need to maintain the condition of the gun.

I thought you could only find expert tools in the red forest or further north

Dan👑... you're like a professor of Stalker GAMMA or sumthin'. 😳😅
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was really struggling trying to understand the system.
Glad you found it useful :)
I'm struggling like hell with this game and these guides are a god send. Keep up the good work
Thank you very much! If you have any specific questions just ask
@DanExert one thing I'm struggling to find is a guide on all the status symbols and status affects of your character

iDK How long I've played this game and didn't realize you could open workbench from the toolsets.
I don't have gamma since I couldn't figure out the install but I remember in anomaly those repair kits are rare but I think a mod fixes that issue
Let me know where you got stuck and I'll help
You can also make a stash with your backpack
Very good tip and easily forgotten
I'm into days searching online IF, is it possible to repair Armor and Helmets below 50% ??? Can't find a way to do so!

I have not been able to find any army rifle repair kits or advanced tools. Just need 1 more basic tools and I can make my own advanced tools
How do you repair below 20% armor? Because that's all i can find

Is it even worth it to give NPCS kits or should you just keep them for yourself ?
