I met Mav yesterday. I was driving through South Dakota on I-94. I came up on his truck he was towing his boat too... I saw his truck and knew it was him because of his white truck with the grey or black camper truck bed cover.
After I freaked out because I’m a huge fan I passed him, waved and then we ended up pulling over at the next exit to get gas
I have to say that he is as genuine as he is in these videos! He’s gotta be the nicest person I’ve ever met or at least the nicest person I’d met in a long time. He signed and gave me some stickers, talked to me for about 30 mins and of course I’d of stayed longer but I had already driven 1800 miles and needed to get home. If y’all get the chance to meet him take it because you won’t regret it, I can’t get over how genuinely nice he is...
His videos are so relaxing. No crazy music no crazy editing. Love it

The smoke is STILL bad around here...the only time we had a reprieve was when the snowstorm hit last week. It was a GOOD time camping with the stove out in those conditions!

@@ClawBoss I reccomend subscribing to the homeless fireman on RUclips if you havent yet. Works as a full time fireman out of his truck and saves a biat load of money.and yeah the truck situation is a hard one you'll have to get an American made long bed to squeeze in. Lol

Several years ago I saved a bumble bee that was stuck floating on the water. Seat my paddle blade out in front of him. He crawled up on it and in a couple of minutes after his wings dried....off he flew....headed straight for the shore.

Mav: You should think about getting a small one man tent for when you have guests. Granted, you couldn't put a tent up in this video but in the future there might be other guest situations where having a small tent for them would be good. I couldn't sleep on that floor like Aaron did, but then I'm old. They could pitch the tent next to the truck under your new awning.

I'm not really seeing it. Whatever it is, is almost sitting directly between the topper and the cab. You'd think he'd keep it close and better reaching distance if that were a gun. I also just don't see the resemblance.

As a denver boi glad you didn’t come out here (as sick as it would have been) things were crazy man those fires made it hard to go outside, camping with the guys and everything was put on hold for months
If you ever get the chance do some boat fishing at eleven mile lake, crazy huge pike and great salmon fishing near some outlets

Mav, ever consider a truck camping trip across the U.P. and back? Now is the perfect time of year, before the snow flies. (no bugs) (fish the bridges on the back roads) (maybe pop a ruffed grouse for dinner)
I live in Denver and it smells like a campfire with falling ash. It will snow all day on Tuesday so hopefully it takes care of the wildfires. Later this month may be good to come out.
