- Have you ever wondered if we really have to worship on the first day of the week? The reading today not only answers that question, but also explains what we need to be considering prior to the gathering together of the church, as well as how our failing to do so affects the benefits of Christ's sacrifice and God's grace.
NO, WE DO NOT NEED TO GO TO A CHURCH BUILDING BUT WE DO GATHER TOGETHER FOR WE ARE THE CHURCH
I'm not sure that I ever referred to a church building, but if I did, it was in error. What we are commanded to do is gather together in a physical place, be it a building specifically constructed for church gatherings, a park, private homes or some other place where the body of Christ can meet to worship and especially to partake of the Lord's Supper in the first day of each week. I'm sorry of I inferred that the place of gathering was of any significance, but the Scripture is clear that the gathering together is both a privilege and a duty. Thanks for your clarification.
