I got the redsea reefer 200 g2 and Helloreef for both me and my wife. Great tanks to start tbh. We're already thinking of upgrading to 150 gallon some time next year after we move so that way, we can plan the house design with 1 large 150 gallon salt mixed reef tank, and a 150 gallon planted discus tank.
I bought my first reef aquarium, a Waterbox 25 Peninsula 3 years ago for $350. I drilled it and turned it into the most expensive 25 Gallon Waterbox Peninsula this planet has ever seen by adding a 120 liter sump, Reef Factory4X dosing pump, 400 GPD 6 Stage RODI unit, MP10wQD stream pump, Nero 3 stream pump, G6 XR30 Blue Light, Reef Factory Level Keeper ATO, 4 Marine Pure 4x4x1 blocks, not to mention plumbing, lid for tank and sump, heaters, tunze 9001 skimmer, return pumps, rock, coral and fish. Listen I don't want to scare anyone away, what I've done, completely unecessary and overkill to the hellhouse. Truth is it's taken my reef a much longer time to get to a desirable state as apposed to some of these 1 year tanks because I was I guess addicted to the technology. Like the 4X doser took a solid few months to even apply and I guess I bought it to help influence or motivate me, to test the hell out of my water consistently so I could actually apply this $630 piece of equipment I had no idea how to use. We all make mistakes. Mine I guess are more impulsive and stupid but we do. Anyway what I've learned from this hobby is that you should never give up. Don't let anyone tell you "maybe this hobby isn't for you", if this is something you would like to do. Because you could very well even as an amatuer, apply, learn and evolve this hobby in innovative and new ways that not even the most experienced reefers have thought of, applied or questioned. You are valuable to this hobby, we aren't all chemists here or marine biologists. This hobby is young, meaning some of the things being done in Reefing has never been done before in the history of science and is new to even the best reefers. So just persist. Find it in you to read up on what to test and keep testing. And make your dream reef come true! If you want to streamline knowledge, watch every BRS episode on RUclips.
Wow, this tank build... a) sounds amazing and b) is probably the most high-tech Waterbox 25 in existence! Did you have fun doing it? Do you still enjoy it? Because at the end of the day that's the most important part as hobbyists.
I like the hello reef kit, but the replacements suggested would just about double the cost unfortunately. I'd prefer a more expensive bundle with them in it instead

Nyos I think has some of the most beautiful nano tanks now
Totally agree. I can't wait to get my hands on one!
Love, love my Hello Reef! I added an ATO system.. and a different heater, but that’s about it. It’s brilliant!
That is awesome!
Nice video, I thought n1 would have been a Red Sea Max nano for some reason
I do like the RedSea Max Nano... I just think it's might be a bit overkill for a true beginner. But I've owned one and loved it!

Understood. You definitely don’t need to make the upgrades at all.
What’s your thoughts on Coral12G’s beginner tank?
Good question but to be honest I don't know anything about it. What do you think about it?
@@HelloReef I think it’s pretty similar but like yours better. The quality and instructions are probably better on the HelloReef
:-)
I think you should checkout the Reef casa tanks, I think my 20gal peninsula is going to be one of the best in the market
Thanks for the tip... I'll check them out right now! :-)
Yes he included the waterbox 25p
You a fan of it?
