Then i started it woth out tensioner in it totally forgot just got off phone and everything is messed up now. And and i broke my fueller gauge and it fell down the block. Life lessons people
Just because the 'T' mark on the alternator rotor lines up with the timing index mark on the cover, DOES NOT mean the piston is on the top end of the compression stroke. If the marks line up and the rocker arms feel like they are 'free', by manipulating them by your finger, then indeed, the piston is at the top of the compression stroke. If they are tight, then the alternator rotor needs to be turned another 360°.
I just did a new piston and rings and I had the valves adjusted. It’s still ticking, pretty loud and blowing a little bit of smoke on start up. How many adjustments do they need?
It would also be incredible if you could make a video about how to restore and reconnect the handlebar electronic controller that has the start, lights and everything in it :)
88’s we’re only sold overseas. Big Reds in the UK, Super Reds in Australia and New Zeeland. Janurary of 1988 was the start date of the ban of sales of ATc’s in the US
I thought it was great way better than the book thanks again. Some people cant read that well❤

Timing chain adjuster working? Were the valves cleaned?

What was your reasoning for going up in size to. 0.10 from 0.08?
He went larger to show and check that the clearance was too much. Compared to what it’s suppose to be 0.08
