- Join us as we take a trip to Meteora! One of the greatest monuments of the world, protected by UNESCO and characterized by it as “A Preserved and Protected Monument of Humanity”.
Meteora means “suspended in the air”! Derived from the ancient Greek word metéōros, meaning “raised from the ground, hanging, lofty,” Meteora gets its name from the monasteries that sit high atop the stone pillars.
My mom and I, tried going there before with a tour bus when I was 4 years old... and this time we would like to experience to travel from Athens to Kalabaka by train!
Let's explore more Greek Historical sites together and lots of walking tour through the town!
