This deserves so much more attention, this soundtrack goes HARD and you do a great job of replicating Mick, Hulshult, and Levy’s style while still making a basically original soundtrack. I will definitely listen to this for a while.
It's a shame about the Serious Doom mod, I'll never know why he decided to cancel it. But good that the Doom Eternal modding scene has a home for it. I map for a Quake engine mod called Slayers Testamemts - in fact my brother put a doom 2016 cacodemon into Quake because he was inspired by the Serious mod. "Alan" referred me here in fact and this music is awesome! Still only started to listen, though, but those classic doom homages are the icing on the cake. The full release of our mod is imminent, but after that, there will be a levelpack update still - since ST is "alternate reality" nuDoom after all perhaps a campaign taking place in Marsgypt ("with Habethian Sentinel nods, too") is a route to take....!
I love this as an idea and as a project. I've been using soundtrack replacement mods since the No Rest for the Living MIDI compilation with Decino and Megasphere. This has me super psyched.
I've been meaning to do a replay of Eternal, now I'll just wait for this mod so I can get a more fresh experience. Won't spoil myself by listening to it all but from the 5 minutes I've heard so far I'm excited. Cheers!
Epic work. IMO, this music placed right after Mick's stuff. You kept a good balance between references to classic and 16\DE. I confident, that your work doesn't be leaved without attention. We all know how Andrew Hulshult taked his place in ID 😉
When I first listened to Into Sandy's Crypt I was driving with one of my best friends of whom was talking about how you get to fight bloody Mary in The Wolf Among Us and an eerie synth melody came in right when he mentioned that; the timing was perfect and just from that song alone your soundtrack is a straight fire ass banger
